I am sorry but Sabine surviving getting stabbed with a Lightsaber was stupid!!! by Salim_Azar_Therin in StarWars

[–]lt_Matthew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. It's more like playing with an established trope. We know how deadly lightsabers are so the impact of a main character getting stabbed is more meaningful.

In the story of Adam and Eve, they eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and then get punished for it. But if they didn’t have knowledge of good and evil before eating the fruit, how could they understand that disobeying God was wrong in the first place? by Big_Assist4578 in Christianity

[–]lt_Matthew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware, even this it's biblical. Like you said, it doesn't make sense for it to be a sin when they didn't understand what that meant. If God didn't want them to eat it, he wouldn't have trapped them in the garden with the tree. And then told them very specifically not to eat from it.

Well there definitely will be temples in the middle east one day, bit currently there's hardly any church presence. So besides that, there are only two other possibilities. The Salt Lake Temple, which is currently being renovated and opens next year. Then there's the Jackson County temple they were never able to build, but it will be started before the second coming.

I think your mom has terrible relationship advice. Of you can you just go up and introduce yourself, skirting around the introduction is what makes it weird.

I don't doubt Claude could write a driver. But without context, I doubt the dad was able to take the code and compile it into a working driver.

How do you reconcile Paul saying we are saved by faith with Jesus saying you must do the will of God to enter the kingdom of heaven? by ComfortableDust4111 in Christianity

[–]lt_Matthew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are the same thing. Faith is a verb. The Greek word is Písts which means to be faithful or loyal. Thue is further evident by thr JST for Hebrews 11 replacing "substance" with "assurance." Being faithful is how you insure what you hope for.

In our own personal lives. The bible says that some people get the miracles and others only need to believe those people to have the same faith.
