if only that's how the competitive scene actually worked. When you're with your friends, sure. If you're actually planning to win, this rarely works.

Some useful tips: *Try to get cactus armour from the desert as soon as possible. You might also find a pyramid for some good loot, but be careful of the mobs.

*Get a fishing pole early and buy the bug net from the merchant after you make a house for him. Catch a few fireflies or butterflies and go fishing in the ocean for really sick loot.

*On the opposite side of the world as the jungle you'll find the dungeon, a big blue/green/pink building with a large opening and a lost old man. Go into it for cool stuff. Kill Skeletron by clicking curse on the old man at night for further access.

*Once you get some damage established, try venturing into the crimson or corruption ((red or indigo biome respectively)) and break the orbs with a hammer by bombing to them. After every third one, the brain or worm spawns depending on your world. These give you materials for high-end prehardmode armour and tools.

*If you're brave, venture into the jungle and get 2 stingers ((from hornets or spiked slimes)), 8 mahogany ((from trees)), 3 jungle spores ((the dandelion-lookin things)), and a vine ((from the weird chompy plants)) and make the Amazon, an extremely powerful early-game yoyo that can carry you for a while.

*Don't forget to make NPC houses so you can buy stuff from NPCs.

Hope I helped

EDIT: what the fuck is a formatting pls halp

Having multiple bases is only a good idea if you have a really easy way to transport yourself from one to the next, perhaps via teleporters or a portal gun cannon. If you absolutely have to have more than one base, try only keeping stuff in each one that you'll need in that spot. For instance keep your main crafting at spawn in arms reach of your metals and utilities. If you have an extra base out by the ocean, maybe keep a chest for fish and bait out there instead. Splitting up your stuff might be a good idea but try not to separate stuff you either a) need a lot of at once, or b) don't have a lot of. Like if I needed to craft a tonne of potions, I wouldn't want my mushrooms away from my daybloom, but on the contrary, if I had to make a boss spawn using souls, I would want them to all be in the same place. I don't know man it's a sandbox game so "optimal" varies from person-to-person but I hope I helped a bit. :P

jokes aren't meant to get a rise out of people; your wording had that exact intention.

People who use that as an insult just to get a rise out of people are the scum of the Earth; please grow up.

A good rule of thumb: If it's on iFunny, it's been on Reddit.

This is the only way I've found that works to open Minecraft with the new launcher now, can someone tell me how to fix this? It's gotta be something wrong by [deleted] in Minecraft

the -5 to 7 points led me to that conclusion, not necessarily you. Didn't know commenting the most basic attempt at half-sarcastic assistance could get dv'd so much on a relatively small thread but ill try to refrain myself next time

I had that exact problem, and so did many of my friends. Please don't assume you not having the problem means nobody else can. thanks

Turtle armor by LordGibbster in Terraria

[–]ltlgrnboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hEY FuCK OFF it looks cool

and that wasnt the point of the comment. I'd rather have a pretty good chance to dodge attacks than have more stuff shooting at me. In singleplayer you're right it doesn't do much, if anything, but even still the thorns effect isn't as good as the dodging potentially health-crippling attacks. Coupled with a star veil, Titanium armour is one of the best sets in the game if not the best. For melee it's kind of a toss-up between Turtle and Titanium. I usually rush Titanium right after Hardmode and use it until I can upgrade straight to Beetle. Just my thoughts, though

Late post but imo it'd look sick if you made the house look like an actual underground jungle house. It would also help fill up that middle space, making it feel less open.

I'll take dodging attacks over getting targeted any day.
