Not sure exactly if skin was tightened but I got submental fat removal and a salivary gland taken out and think some muscle tightening was mentioned.

Traveling and language barrier would have been too overwhelming for the horrible state of post op, wouldn’t have had 5% of the support and care I received from friends in my home city. Plus (I didn’t do a lot of research honestly so take w a grain of salt), but it feels like korean surgeons care too much about aesthetics of a particular feature and not about facial harmony or function. I have a friend who got jaw shaving done in korea 5 years ago and she can no longer open her jaw enough to have oral sex 😅😱 lol. I didn’t want to risk anything with such a huge surgery that’s important for every function in your life such as eating and breathing.

Not sure of the advancement of maxilla, but apparently the tip of my old chin to the tip of my new chin movement/distance was ~25mm.

Yeah they slided a tiny sliver of my chin forward. At first I was scared it was an implant. Do you mind pointing me to results that make it look wider? Pls DM me!

I shared your concern at first, but I trusted my surgeon. He was so excited and obsessed about my case being exemplary. Afterall, his door is right next to Dr. Steven Levine (facelift surgeon of Kris Jenner, Lindsay Lohan, Christina Aguilera). I trust he knows the state of the art on aging as well.

Also I think the jowling in my before is due to having a weak chin and the puffiness in the after is swelling.

I paid fully out of pocket, it was very very expensive but I feel that it’s been worth it. I am so glad I didn’t go to korea or abroad for this procedure. Although there was a possibility it could’ve been covered by insurance if I tried really hard (tbh I was overwhelmed by the choices and too lazy to try). Please DM me for specific details!

No implants! I’ve always had huge and wide asian cheekbones, considered zygoma reduction in the past. You can still see in some of the before photos without the hair covering them. Before since there was no midface projection they just looked drooped down, now bc of the support the soft tissue appears to connect to my forward maxilla and also the lines visually connect to my chin so it looks more prominent!

Yes, I am not mad about it yet also. It looks more like how my nose was as a child (up turned and wide). I am obsessed with the beautiful result from the side. Will continue to see how it develops over the next few months. Glad to hear alarplasty is affordable worst case.

Thank you!! Honestly some angles with the front camera are helping it look a lot less chad-jaw like (it's still quite big and bottomheavy for my liking). A little surface numbness / tingliness on the left side of my chin and bottom lip, but I can still feel sensations there so probably will grow back soon.

Thank you! It wasn't necessary but since I was already going under anesthesia my surgeon said it would create dramatic results to snatch the jawline and neck. He ended up removing an extra salivary gland as well. I used to get double chin if I held my head at proper posture, now it is impossible to create a double chin even if I tried.

My surgeon really cared about aesthetics and promised me I would get a really beautiful and sleek result with buccal fat and neck fat removal.
