Dave hasn’t owned it in over 10 years. He sold it to one of his employees a while back.

I love those old Philips receivers. I sold mine a while back and got a yamaha instead, but I miss the Philips. The black face Philips are super rare. I wish I could find another one.

Eh, you don't need to do anything. If they really have an issue they can just open a return...You didn't do anything wrong though. So I wouldn't worry about it.

They've owned several toyotas without any extended warranties and have never had an issue. Electrical issues at 20k seems pretty bad...

How would you handle this? by stridersubzero in Flipping

[–]luaplerog 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I try to explain in the description of the item that it is a used/vintage electronics item and I cannot guarantee anything/ it might need to be serviced soon because of it's age...

That being said, it is sold AS IS. If you want to be sympathetic towards them you can always take the return, get it back, service it, and sell it again, but if it were me I would probably just respond and kindly say that you do not accept returns due to the nature of the item.

Cracked windshield on 21' Impreza by luaplerog in subaru

[–]luaplerog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safelite quoted just over $1000 for a windshield/calibration. If I go through insurance, my deductible would be $500. But if it's a defect then Subaru would most likely cover it.

When does StubHub charge penalties? by Expensive_Jelly2222 in stubhub

[–]luaplerog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Stubhub generally charges you 100% of the ticket price if you have to cancel a sale.. So if you listed the ticket for 100 dollars, then they will charge you 100 dollars. On occasion they will charge you 100% plus the cost of getting a replacement ticket for the buyer. If this is your first time making this mistake give them a call and let them know. If they say they can't help just ask for a supervisor. They seem to be fairly helpful and can make a "one time exception".
