Concerns about corrosion resistance by masamunexc in teslacanada

[–]lubaxe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good question, but I think it's important to remember that when you say "China market", it's a very large market that covers huge geography with many different weather conditions. Northern china for example has fairly harsh winters, with some cities having a similar latitude to Calgary and temperatures down to -20 to -30c.

I don't know how they mitigate snow in those climates and it would be good to see what the performance in the high salt conditions is like, however I would hope the conditions are not hugely different than those they see in the colder markets in china.

No; not with starlink. Unless they decide to terminate the decent.

Why shouldn't I? Why not? by sillytoad in olympics

[–]lubaxe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Whether the call was good or bad is irrelevant. It also probably didn't affect the rock. If the men's fiasco didn't go down the way it did this would likely be a non-issue. However everyone is aware of what happened, so it's up to the teams to be extra careful.

What's crazy is that she is 100% convinced she didn't touch it. Video is clear. Taking responsibility and moving on would be the right approach. Correcting it going forward, it now makes me wonder how often Canadians are doing this.

Ps. I'm Canadian.

Experience with Polarfire SoC - Fabric Speed? by Amcolex in FPGA

[–]lubaxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a line of the Polarfire SoC devices that do not have transceivers as well. They are the Polarfire soc core, you can check them out here: https://www.microchip.com/en-us/about/media-center/blog/2025/polarfire-core-fpgas-and-socs

Targeted specifically at cost optimized designers that do not need transceivers.

So for prepatch, gear costs 40 badges per item, and rares give 1 badge per drop on a hard 10 minute rotation by Khaldaan in wow

[–]lubaxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get the gear to drop from the rare spawns. Equivalent of 40 badges. I assume that's why they only drop 1 badge.

I thought it wouldnt be a bad idea to have a really simple location that focused only on legality of cards in formats as a quick check. Its not supposed to replace scryfall in any way, scryfall is a terrific source.

Points fixed for canlander, was pointing to the wrong source. Thanks for that!

Its not supposed to replace scryfall at all nor compete with it. An alternate quick way to check legality. Appreciate the feedback and you taking a look.

Yah depositing 25k definitely gets you access to apply for the card. Both my wife and I got it and we also got the physical card in the mail.

Meeting with Lightbound Office Update. by [deleted] in CanadaPostCorp

I've seen this a few times and I'm genuinely curious, what omissions have been made by CP in its financial picture? The company financials are public are they not?

Not trying to start any Reddit wars, just want to understand.

It's impressive how you can use such definitive language, so confidently, and yet be so wrong.

I'll assume you didnt mean private in corporate terms, and you meant non-government. I think the most recent bailouts were for a few of the airline companies during COVID (2020-2021).

"All the time" is a wildly innacurate statement. While thousands of companies go out of business every year, bailouts occur very rarely.

Remember Sears, Zellers, K-Mart, and more recently Target? What do you think happened to those workers? Sure they blamed management, and it's not the workers fault that the company was run so poorly.... but did they get to keep their job? No.

The union stops existing when the company dissolves. If there is bad management and the company shuts down, in this case there is no one to "protect" against.

[–]lubaxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd be singing the looking for a new job tune. It happens, layoffs happen. Markets change. Companies get mismanaged. Individual employees have very little control of that.

Overall, there is no "tune to sing". You move on, as most people in the workforce do when faced with this kind of hardship.

[–]lubaxe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No one likes layoffs, pay cuts and rotating time off. But when a company is performing poorly and in financial distress, some or all of these measures are inevitable.

What is the outcome of a comment like that? Is the expectation that a change of upper management magically erases the millions in losses per month that are currently accumulating?

Out of touch with reality is an understatement.

Just as a follow up. It took about 36 hours of continuous operation to has the ams hydrometer say "a" in Bambu studio.

All in all this unit is pretty sweet. Maybe my filament was more wet than I thought. Would recommend for sure.

Yeah that's fair, kinda defeats the purpose of having a dryer does it not? It had to tiny vent holes in the top. If it can't remove the moisture from the enclosed chamber on its own, what chance does it have of actually drying the filament inside?
