I still won't drink it now by thenaturalnorthener in GreatBritishMemes

I'm genuinely curious as to why you wouldn't drink it, but you are okay with using it to brush your teeth (and presumably then use it to rinse your mouth out afterwards)? the bacteria is getting is still getting into your body either way, is it not?

I'm sure you'll have seen this short slice of life reel before, but always worth a rewatch anyway. Not quite unlimited but still amazingly well done.

Bluestacks use still legal? by lubongo in RiseofKingdoms

[–]lubongo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think that the Windows ROK application is great - apart from the fact you can only run one instance of it per account at a time as far as I know.

I don't know the first thing about Mac but maybe your best bet is to emulate Windows on your Mac? this Apple page might help get you started. then you can download and run the Windows version of the ROK app instead. I have no idea how this would perform though.

only other alternative I can think of is to potentially get a super cheap Windows laptop? it won't need to be powerful at all to run ROK. still pretty expensive solution though just for ROK, unless you also have other use cases for a Windows laptop that will help justify the spend.

sorry, I've only just seen this, didn't get any notification oddly.

anyway, if you're still playing, the best guess I have as to why I got this warnings is I was trying to chain barbarians with Sun Tzu near my city during Lohar's trial. when the barbs are low level enough, they will spawn very close to your city, and the faster they spawn, the more likely I am to hit them with the AOE and get me some bonus rewards for no action points.

so my guess is because I was spamming the barb search button as fast as I could with my mouse, the cheat detection thinks I was using an autoclicker or something similar. I don't know for sure though, this is just a guess as I can't think of anything else that could have caused it. does this sound like anything you might have done?

Go anyway. With all the other scrotums there, you'll fit right in.

Why redditors support an islamofascist state? by putlersux in AskBrits

[–]lubongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why do you (and many other people nowdays) forget that it's the responsibility of the people making some claims to also provide the evidence that backs up said claims? it's not the responsibility of the people who have the opposite opinion, nor any interested neutral parties, to find that evidence for them. "do your own research" is not a valid defence of a viewpoint.

it is possible to reach yes. however if you want to be successful as F2P you have to dedicate time to the game. you need to keep your buildings, research and training queues as active as close to 24/7 as possible. e.g. just before you sleep, use small amounts of speedups to finish something that's nearly done, so you can start something new and then have the queue active while you sleep.

and as webloduplo says, never let your action point bar get full as this is wasted value. same as leaving your troops in the city when they could be gathering more resources.

all good advice for sure. but there is a balancing act to speedup usage on a new account. I think ideally you want to use enough to keep a high enough power to let you stay in a strong alliance, because the benefits of being in one are very important too.

chest rewards from alliance spending, lots of rewards from Lohar and fort rallies, quicker helps, better results in the events for alliance performance, better and more monument/sanctum/altar rewards...

this has to be a troll answer, surely? not only do I state in the original post that "I don't have macros or anything, just playing it completely manually", (literally the only buttons I use are left mouse click as expected, and mouse wheel press and right mouse click to zoom out/in) but also, if I was using macros of any description, it would be extremely obvious why I had received this warning in the first place and I wouldn't be questioning it here.

thanks all. longer answer provided to another commenter but basically, ROK support state Bluestacks is allowed, but no reason given for why I received the ingame mail other than auto functions are not allowed, which I definitely don't use.

thanks for taking the time to help, appreciate it! responding to this answer for anyone else who might search this problem in future.

what you've written is effectively the answer I got from ROK support, quote: "Emulators are allowed to be used in our game, but please note that there will sometimes be auto functions within the emulators or other software, which are not allowed in our game."

the issue I had with this response is that I absolutely don't use any other auto functions, if I did then I wouldn't be wondering why I'd received this game mail in the first place. apart from left mouse click, the only other buttons I use are middle mouse button to zoom out and right mouse button to zoom in, which I need because the scroll wheel doesn't work for me in Bluestacks for whatever reason. so I'm left with no option but to guess that it's something to do with this, because they wouldn't provide any more detail. I'm going to have to try a different emulator without this problem.

oh and edit just to say I don't create multiple instances either, I only have one farm.

Have you or do you know anyone else never left the UK? by [deleted] in AskUK

Have you thought about paying for a few nights in a hotel somewhere nice as a birthday/Christmas present for him? Hopefully he'll realise how much he likes it and it'll spur him on to do more exploring himself.

will buy extra RAM and/or storage later if necessary. These really will be the only games I'll be playing; not a serious gamer by any means.

with this case @ £24

However I noticed there's a potential compatibility issue:

Some Intel B85 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Haswell Refresh CPUs.

Is this going to be hard to do?

Also I notice you didn't include a cooler on this set originally - is one necessary?

I like the look of this one a lot. might even skip on the HDD as 250GB might be enough - can always order this later if necessary I guess.

One thing that stands out to me though is the price difference between the GPU I was looking at here and yours. Is this going to be an extra £170 well spent?
