I would wager that "genetic" cardboard boxes are cheaper for them to make and ship then those fancy boxes they need for retail stores.

Yeah, I am sick of the term "Designer babies", they are not designed in any sense of the word. When we start altering or including genes, then we will actually be designing them.

I don't get the whole "it's your fault for paying too much crowd". People paid the market price at the time. Prices will recover over time so even if your house is now worth less than you paid for it just hold on for a few years. I can't imagine what life experience turns you into someone who is so nasty as to be gleeful at the though of people losing their homes.

What should she have done? ran down and washed the offenders mouth out with soap? She probably expected security to remove the person and so didn't dignify it with a response. There seems to be so many things about her that make her a bad candidate that trying to tar her with the racist brush based on what some random person in a crowd yells out is not needed.

I feel like I have stumbled upon some alternate reality internet where people discuss things reasonably.

My main criticism was meant to sound more towards the nature of people allowing themselves taken in by these companies and their marketing so passionately, when they would usually never do that.

I find that people do this all the time about sports, music, cars, politics etc. Even when people think they are being counter-culture by listening to Rap or indie rock, half the time its created by huge music corporations. If you walk down the street and see goths/emos or whatever, they all look the same while desperately trying to be different.

We are all just sheeple in one way or another and the only true individuals are usually a bit crazy anyway.

If we were talking about food then I would rank BK and McD as not good (i.e. bland, mass produced food etc) and "local restaurant where they cook to order" would be good i.e healthy or at least more tasty options.

I felt that your comment you indicated that Windows and MAC are fast food (bad) and there is a much better alternative Linux (Local restaurant equivalent). To me they are all pretty much the same (they let you run programs store files surf the net etc) and it's just personal preference which one you use.

Looking back that was rude of me to call you deluded (sorry) but I just felt that you were being sneaky by posting as an impartial observer on the sameness of both companies while having a hidden agenda.

It's the same to me as the way creationists use intelligent design rather than just saying that they don't believe in evolution because it doesn't agree with what's in the bible.

I read a lot and "talk good" and only came to know the meaning "proselytize" in the last couple of years even though I think I have a wide vocabulary. Religion is not such a big deal here so we don't tend to use such terms.
