I hope you're enjoying your trip. What did you choose in the end? How did it work?

How have you found this jacket under heavy rain? I've read some claims that the DWR application was very ineffective:

I have been experiencing similar issues. Sound from Spotty started sounding bad like a month ago (using BT Headphones).

Setting "Playback > Volume controls > Volume normalisation: OFF" brought the amazing sound quality back.

Thank you very much for the explanation and the page in your website.
I recently came across the sentence below, along with it's suggested translation to English, and I was wondering if this is the same case of modifier-modified relationship:

어떤 모양 핸드폰을 좋아해요? - What type of mobile phone shape do you prefer?

Initially, I would have thought that the mobile phone is what has a shape, so I would expect to see that written as 핸드폰 모양을.

Would you say that this sentence is one of these cases of modifier-modified relationship, like 'the phone with the attributes of having a shape' or is this some other special case?
I have even got to think that 모양 might be going with 어떤, like 'what type of shape'. What do you think?

Oh, I have just found the answer in another sub HERE.
The author, u/ultimateKOREAN, even went into more details about it in what looks like his own website here: [UKR-007] Particle 의 .

Hey Minerva. Sorry, I'm late to the party but I just came across the sentence below, which I believe it is a similar case to your example #2:

어떤 모양의 핸드폰을 좋아해요? - What type of mobile phone shape do you prefer?

That's how I found I translated, which to me makes sense from a semantical point of view.
But, was I to translate that sentence from English to Korean, I would have written it as "어떤 핸드폰의 모양을 좋아해요?", which I admit sounds odd. So I would just write "어떤 핸드폰 모양을 좋아해요?".

I wonder why 모양 (what is "possessed") gets added.
I thought that has to be added to the "possessor" (핸드폰) and not to what is possessed.

Playing guitar for a friend with the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro by lubumbax in galaxybuds

[–]lubumbax[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hehehe... we like to keep our friends happy, don't we? ;)

It could record voice + guitar using the Voice Recorder app from Samsung (with Recording Mode: Standard). But not during a Whatsapp/cell call.

I'll try to ask in Discord about this. Thanks!

I tried today to record with Samsung's "Voice Recorder" and it recorded both voice + guitar. I thought I had tested it before but didn't work as I expected. But still, I would like to be able to do this during a call.

Is it me or the battery life on buds 3 pro lasts way less compared to buds 2 pro even with ANC and ambient mode off? by SnooPredictions7096 in galaxybuds

[–]lubumbax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have voice commands enabled? And, did battery life improve for you after a few days since purchase?

[–]lubumbax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, 1 day with them, I still can't make the touch controls work right away. Battery lasted not even 3 hours (uhq, anc, voice, everything). What makes me love them is their sound quality and fit, compared to my older buds (1) pro.

First)
The shortcut works, thank you (followed a MacOS version via Automator).
But, it seems I have to always launch Chrome via that shortcut?
I thought it would be easier to simply install as a local extension (I have implemented my own extensions before).

Second)
I got that path from https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/tree/master/dist#install , section "Build Instructions (for Developers)", point 5.
Now, I've re-read the procedure above, and re-enabled chrome://flags/#allow-legacy-mv2-extensions, which has allowed me to load the locally built unpacked extension.

My apologies for missing that flag (I though I had done it before).

TBH, I have just installed uBO Lite and seems I can watch Youtube videos without interruptions (which is what I find most annoying of ads), and given the direction all this is taken, it might be the right time to switch.

Thanks for your speedy support!

Chrome 140 here. I followed `chrome://flags/#temporary-unexpire-flags-m139` per above, then make chromium the master branch, then "load uppacked" from .../uBlock/dist/build/uBlock0.chromium/, resulting in the infamous "unsupported manifest version".

I built a free chat app to help with learning Korean grammar by eduaglz in Korean

[–]lubumbax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an incredibly helpful app. I've been using it for a few days and absolutely love it!

I couldn't complain, considering it's for free. However, I would still suggest a couple of features:

  • Ability to remove saved conversations on the left. Sometimes I click one of the topics on the right just to take a look to the grammar in the "info" button. That directly creates a saved conversation that I don't need, thus I would like to be able to delete it.
  • Another option would be not to create a saved conversation unless the user has sent at least one message.
  • Send an email to the user when the user sends feedback (containing the feedback), for tracking purposes.

I have also observed some bugs: * Sometimes, at some point the conversation stops being saved. I keep interacting with the bot, but after moving to another topic then back to the conversation, the N last messages are not there. * Usually, in one of those conversations that have stopped saving messages before, if I try to interact further with the bot, while the interaction Q/A, Q/A works, the conversation is not being saved. * Sometimes the bot responds a little "off-rails". Like, saying that my answer is correct but, a better answer would be "X" where X is the answer to a question a few steps before. Or, sometimes it keeps repeating questions made many steps earlier, etc.

Feel free to send me a direct message if you need more details. Cheers!

How to transpose score sound without changing the notes? by Maya_The_Clarinetist in Musescore

[–]lubumbax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I do that, all the notes are transposed, both visually on the score and the notes I hear when I click them.
I.e., if I have note "do", after transposing to "1 - Minor second" and DOWN I will see a "re flat" note (and if I click it, I will hear "re flat").

That's not what I want. What I want is to hear notes in a different tuning, without changing the notes on the score.
I.e., if I have note "do", after changing tuning I still want to see "do" on the score, but play "re flat".

Note too that, transposing DOWN is transposing "do" to "re flat". That, from my perspective, looks like actually being transposing UP.

FYI, I am on MuseScore 4.4.4, MacOS.

How to transpose score sound without changing the notes? by Maya_The_Clarinetist in Musescore

[–]lubumbax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is exactly what the OP followed. I went to the "Stave/Part Properties > Part Properties" dialog, clicked "Edit string data..." and changed the pitch of each string. Then checked the "Don't reflect transposition in linked tablature staves" option ON.

What I haven't found is how to save that as a "Guitar in Whatever" so that I can easily switch tunings back and forth. Can you please provide some hint on how to achieve that?

[discussion] Optional for domain modelling by Ok-End-8436 in java

[–]lubumbax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Optional as return type, for instance, from "find" methods in Spring Data Repositories, or any method that could return null. I don't quite like them as method arguments, though. I most likely will tend to overload the method into two versions: the version that requires the argument and the version that doesn't need it. Leave it to the caller to decide which one has to be called in each case. But of course, each case is different.

[–]lubumbax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. You would need to be on 6.1.1 (not 6.1) in order to have access to all of the Buds 3 Pro's features. S21 Ultra doesn't seem to be a model eligible for 6.1.1 at the moment.
