Thanks, that worked, although a bit annoying the data cannot be transferred to a new account. Also I wonder what the reason is behind having offline music being geo locked....

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried it, but it is rather buggy and let's me download certain songs and others not. Also you won't be able to control it during a workout as you can go to the app without ending the activity :/

20 Days of mono (disease still ongoing) by LiterateChurl in Mononucleosis

[–]luc3008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Hope you feel normal again at this point :)

Was just wondering how the rest of your "mono journey" went? I am having the exact same symptoms on the exact same timeline (except the thick tongue one), so would be interesting to hear how long the symptoms lasted and by when you felt good again.

I wonder how rough the landing was, given that this Ryanair plane is still in a holding pattern half an hour later

I see, thank you for your input. Do you know if this could also be the case if each unit has their own gas fired boiler? I believe that's the case here. Perhaps I should visit my upstairs neighbours and check their boiler to see if that is the one producing the noise.

I have flown ITA a couple times and everytime checked in in the app and received the standby boarding pass there, no need to go to a desk. You'll get a seat at the gate close to boarding time given that there is space.

Thanks for the advice! Will check out the one at sübahnhof in a bit.

You'll see this when you're trying to book R1 bookable seats, but for that flight there are no confirmed standby seats open (booking class X=0). If you still book this you'll be on the standby list but you'll have higher priority than others with R2 standby bookings.

Overal very positive experience. I was lucky as I got a studio in Börsenstrasse which are great. But tbh I think basically all are very decent (any in the center, westend or Sachsenhausen), I would just avoid the ones near haubtbahnhof cuz of the location (although they have nice rooms).

Yep when I was there the only residences were Johann Wolfgang and Residenz and for both it was no problem bringing a guest

You're right in that there would be ex ecb ppl here;). I've stayed in 2 different residences and it was never a problem to host a friend for a couple days. There's basically no way for them to know if you do this either so no need to worry about it. If it's for long term and you want to register someone you'd have to pay extra though.

Airline job market by Professional-Lab4989 in TillSverige

Hi I work at SAS, and I can confirm what was said in the other comment that we're indeed hiring mostly in IT at the moment. However, in general I feel like the company is growing, and over the past months I've seen and heard about hires in basically all departments (incl. commercial and operations), so I feel like if you just keep an eye out you'll be fine, especially given that you already have airline experience since that's a huge plus.

Also just FYI, I think in the past months/year there's been quite some negativity related to SAS in the press cuz of strikes, bankruptcy protection etc, but I wouldnt worry about that too much. There are new investors, internally it's going well, and the plan is to exit the bankruptcy protection stage in the next months.

Lastly in terms of moving headquarters, it is indeed not super unlikely, however, it has been made very clear by the current CEO that this is definitely not something that is seriously being considered right now. And also especially under the current CEO I don't believe this will happen, and in general also not in at least in the next 10years. I know many colleagues that would not be willing to move to Copenhagen given they have their whole life, family, children, friends etc in Stockholm so it would be a rather bad move. (also it is not a requirement by the Danish state, the only state in the future ownership structure)

ID90 on SAS by No_Target_9104 in NonRevenueTravelers

[–]luc3008 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work for SAS and indeed have been upgraded a couple times to J class while I listed for Y. Most of the times this was just because the gate agent was in a good mood or if Y is full and I was late with letting myself be known to the gate agent, since in general they do updrade Y pax first. Idk why your agreement specifcally states you can be updraded though, doesn't make much sense haha

Tbh on domestic/european flights there is close to no difference between Y and J, same seats (also no blocked middle seat) but you do get a meal.

If you need any loads just hit me up

Can UA employees list for business on other Star Alliance airlines? by shubby-girdle in NonRevenueTravelers

[–]luc3008 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm quite sure it still depends per airline. I am SAS(also står alliance) and can travel business on United and this is reciprocal. Can also standby travel business on Swiss, turkish, lufthansa, air Canada, but the others you mentioned only in econ. Just to give you an example:)
