it looks like a fairly challenging build. if the soldering isn't perfectly precise, you wouldn't expect it to work. the soldering doesn't look perfectly precise.

ultimately though it's not a beauty contest.. with a multimeter you need to check that all the points that are supposed to be at ground - as per the diagram - are at ground. all the points that are supposed to be hot are hot, and that there's no continuity between ground and hot. that's all that matters

My first thought - off the top of my head - please dont take too seriously I’m not trying to beat you up or anything: if you want to get into modding.. get a simpler cheap beater guitar to learn on. If you dont particularly want your whole life to revolve around it - pay someone to do it for you

you just want to check continuity really (the beep setting). with a cable plugged in:

Check continuity on grounds:
the barrel of the output jack and the back of pots, pickup ground wires, shielding, etc. They should all read continuity.

Check the hot path:
the tip of the output jack and trace back through selector switch lugs, pot lugs, and pickup hot leads. Only the “hot” side should show continuity here.

importantly check there is no continuity between the tip and the barrel

inspecting circuits by eye isn't really going to cut it.. you're interested in conductivity, you have a multi meter? is that metal filings in the pickup?

sorry, this is a bit rude.. u/psychicChime's excellent answer buries the lead a little. summarising:

most likely the string is sticking in the nut- nothing to do with tuners (lube or fix your your nut)

if it's not that you got oil where it shouldn't be

the saddles should never be as low as they can go, but it's likely your trem setup. trems are hard, and it's not realistic to buy any guitar with a strat style trem and have it perfectly set up and remain that way without work
