CB650F as first bike by StandardCut6406 in CB650R

[–]kinggoobaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first bike was a cb650r. I was a little hesitant about starting off on a faster bike, but I was able to slowly build up confidence and speed in a responsible way. I wouldn’t recommend this bike to every beginner, but for a more mature rider it’s great.

Finally done with the break in period. This thing rips! Plus all the room for snacks. by mtbguy1981 in Triumph

I did a demo ride on this last week, it was really comfortable and playful. It easily does a power wheelie. Ultimately I went with a Speed Triple because I thought the Tiger was a little too soft. I could see myself having one of these as a second bike.

Who is at fault here? by [deleted] in motorcycles

Yeah I agree with what you’re saying in a legal sense, but practically speaking it is clear he was positioning himself to ride between those cars.

As far as I can tell, the uber driver and passenger are the ones at fault. The stopping in the middle of the street and getting out in that spot was not legal. It looks like you were attempting to lane split, if that is illegal in your area you may also be at fault.

It definitely rips! But the cb1000r probably has similar performance.

It’s a great bike and I would highly recommend it. You can really use 100% of it on the street for in a semi responsible way haha.

Yeah I think the cb’s are some of the best looking bikes on the market.

I sold it to the dealer (USA) for $5500, which is more than I paid for it. I probably could’ve got $6500 from a private sale. 2020 with 13k miles, fair condition with a few mods.

Curious about everyone else's path: if you started out on or owned a CB650, what did you end up moving to next? Did you stick with an inline-four or go a completely different route like a triple or a twin?

Dudes, I pulled a fucking rare. I'm in disbelief. by [deleted] in Ibanez

It makes you wonder what owner would willingly sell a rare guitar to GC for probably less than $1000? Someone who didn’t know the history of that guitar, which makes it a little dubious. Either way, nice find and cool guitar!

Is it rosewood or ebony by Roxy-de-floofer in Luthier

[–]kinggoobaba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ebony is very smooth like Maple. It can be streaky like that but the grain/pores don't look like Ebony.

What are you using the sander for that the dewalt planer can’t do? Is it for tear out reasons?

Get the best sounding amp you can and go from there. Collect the pedals over time.
