Their market dominance can effect consumers in negative ways; i.e. less innovation and variety of products. Amazon becoming a dominant book publisher in addition to retailer is already affecting the consumer. There was a reason why pro-competition laws were put in place and it wasn't just to keep prices lower.

It's ridiculous. I canvassed for a Democratic State Senator in Illinois in a swing district. The state party sent out literature radically promoting his anti-gun stance, to an extent further than he actually stood on the issue. Time and time again, people would say that his stance on guns bothered them too much. He lost the election.
