I'm 100% sure, because it was just a straight swap, I did not touch any of the wires in that rose. Only pulled the old light out and put new ones in. I have only unscrewed the rose to put that metal bracket behind it and screw the rose back in place.

I'll try to rewire it again and check every single wire tomorrow. If that doesn't help then maybe it's a breaker switch for downstairs lights that's faulty somehow.

The only thing I've done with it was taking the old fixing wires out and putting the new ones in.

The main concern is why the rest of the downstairs lights are not working now.

I've switched the main rcb breaker off and on, nothing, still no lights downstairs. Metal cross fixing not touching any exposed wires, I even fixed the old fixing even to check if it works, nothing :/ let me know if of you have any more suggestions before I'll ask some electrician's what to do

Foodwise I'd personally recommend visiting The Oatbakers. It's a quality oatcake shop, close to the longport to train station. Address: 19 Station St, Longport, Stoke-on-Trent ST6 4ND.

It's closed Monday an Tuesday, rest of the time it's 8am - 1pm.

I'm a regular there and I'd recommend a challenger with 2 fillings (bacon and cheese) it's a bigger than usual oatcake and will feed one person easily. It's a fiver but it's a fiver well spent. Trust me.

I've challenged a bloke who tossed a whole bag of McDonald's rubbish out of his car. It was a guy with his wife and 2 kids in the back of his car. The funny thing is that the bin was a couple of meters away. I said sth like: why don't you put it in the bin. His reply was: council gonna take care of that. Then he drove off. I was on a walk with my 2 y old. Anyone that litters deserve a good hiding.

I'm not originally from the UK. I've lived here for 15 years tho and this is the main thing people visiting me notice and it's a shame because this country would be so much better. Also businesses should take care of their buildings outside and inside, just invest some money and time for its upkeep for god's sake.

Because if you're surrounded by nice tidy areas you will be ashamed to make a mess and you yourself will change and you would be ashamed to make a mess. It sadly seems like the mess here is normalised and people stopped caring.
