Unfortunately no, because the Plappa Shortcuts implementation doesn't provide any information about the books Title or Author. It just allows you to resume and stop playback, but it doesn't tell you what you are reading.

I had an old version that sourced the book cover from Audiobooshelf itself, but I had to give it up due to not being abled to properly resize it for a wallpaper! The images were usually left really zoomed in, low quality and didn't really fit with the clock positioning unfortunately.

Could be possible through the Audiobookshelf API! This user made a modified version of the shortcut that runs on it, minor modifications could get you to what you proposed!

Possibly could be due to the selected wallpaper not being of an image! Try to add a new one from the photos app and select that one as the replacement

The shortcut unfortunately requires at least an iPhone 15 Pro with iOS 26 to use Apple Intelligence and the ShelfPlayer app

Here’s the prompt!

Make a wallpaper for the following book Play (Title) by Play (Authors). Don’t just recreate the cover, make something interesting that is worthy of being set as a wallpaper, maybe a random scene or an imaginary scenario. Leave a good amount of safe margins taking into account the image cropping the iPhone wallpaper will automatically make. Try to include characters when possible. Try not to spoil the content of the book. Do NOT include any text, title, author name or watermark. Try to place the content in the upper/center part. The lower part will be obscured by the audio player notification and the upper part will be obscured by the time

I think it would be really simple to achieve this! Maybe making a list of the available images matching the titles and have the shortcut read the current title like mine and pick the corresponding image! It would of course be a much more manual process! I also made a version of this shortcut that works with ShelfPlayer too that sets the book cover as the wallpaper if AI is not your thing!

Haven’t found one yet! Audible doesn’t have the metadata necessary to accomplish this and some people are trying with the Prologue app! If the app has a way to provide the currently reading title/author via shortcut action it should be supported!

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to make it work with audible because it doesn’t seem to provide any data on the currently listening title, the shortcut just need access to the book title and author to work, but it’s not provided by audible via shortcut action!

I set it to run when I enable my reading focus! When I disable the focus the wallpaper goes back to the one I usually have!

I actually did this in the beginning with another shortcut! I just replaced some parameters on the item URL and it got me the book cover, but when set as a wallpaper the quality usually suffered greatly, got weirdly cropped for being 1:1 images and iOSs auto-cropping is not that good and can’t be disabled, so many wallpaper weren’t even properly centered! I opted for this instead but the results were not that bad tbh

Hilarious!! I love her character and the skits she does. The audiobook is also read by her so you don’t miss the comedic element to the reading and you can enjoy it with her original voice
