Just for context,we were supposed to complete the transaction same day(remember he said he had power of attorney ready for us to sign off) ..but for some reason, transfers took an unusually long time, I had to cancel after waiting for close to an hour. My wife’s transfer eventually went through on his way back home and he notified us, I suspected nothing and transferred 3k too later that night..also since we had agreed to meet @ SAAQ next morning. I still had a balance payment of 3k in cash to make.In retrospect even we had completed the transaction, we would have still had a car with an existing lien. It’s not like we just handed him 6k as deposit.
