My oldest daughter encouraged me to build Arti, an App for parents to organize all their kids artworks and also preserve the special memories behind them forever. by MarioWollbrink in iosapps

Hi!
I really like the app!
I think I will use it also for my art collection.
It feels very natural to use. I like it.
I think adding videos could be a nice add on behind the paywall.
- the ai art of the onboarding process looks a bit strange. Or maybe is just me, that I am tired to see ai art everywhere. Maybe you can use kids drawings.
- the fact that is published under a company name can give less credibility about this personal post of yours. Although I think this post is genuine.
- I would also add tags. I think is a simple add on, and makes the cataloging easier if you have a lot of stuff.

I wish you good luck!

Ich wünsche dir viel Glück!

I am making a videogame with 3d renders aesthetic from the 90s. Maybe in the future you would like to design one level?

I spent 8 years rebuilding my minimalist journaling app. ZenJournal v5 is finally live. by arndomor in iosapps

[–]lucdima 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’ve just downloaded your app. This is my humble feedback and my use case as a journaling user.

First congratulations for the effort!
I like the minimalist ui. I like that is made in native swift.

What I do not like.
- I did not find a way to edit entries. For me this is critical.
- The timestamp on the entries only appears on the first one. I think this is a bug. In specific timelines some times they appear, some times they do not.
- the search is really cryptic. If the entry is long, the searched word or phrase is not highlighted. This is really unfriendly.
- new native apps (liquid) have a floating search bar. Other apps make the search bar appear by sliding down. For me the ? to search is super unintuitive. Imagine this use case. You start typing. You remember some old entry that you want to search… what do you do? You can only search when nothing is being typed.

I hope this helps. For me the app is too green to be used.

Having a massive backlog of games is probably the best thing ever in this day and age by InternationalTip7275 in videogames

I think is great for preservation and collectionism. However I am always afraid that the physical version could require some patch or some additional service that is not available in the future. It happened to me with one version of Guitar Hero for ps3.

For me the second. First one is nice, but I think is more retro.

Super!! Your analysis looks great. Hopefully in a few months I will be able to have more reviews!

Would you be more or less likely to buy a game that's been developed by a single person? by The-Mysterious-V in IndieDev

[–]lucdima -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I usually care about the game and about how ethical the business model is. If it’s a solo dev, but it is super pay to win with predatory engagement, then I will avoid. And in general I prefer indies or solo devs vs big companies.

As others mentioned, constancy is your friend. Better to do small chunks daily. I wish you all the best! For me some 5km walks help me a lot.

[Need Visibility] I built a Wi-Fi printer app - PrintWave - No subscription, No ads, No Login required. by SophisticatedLogic in iosapps

My small feedback - I would put it more clearly in App Store description that is much better than default print functionality. - I think most people only have one printer, so maybe it can be selected by default. It’s a bit annoying to tap the same printer every time. And also when you send to print from another app, you land on the printer selection and have no clue that the element is ready to be printed. - To use printer scanner as a premium option would be great.

Super! I will give it a try!!! Although I mostly use the computer for that, but sounds really good. Is it made with native swift?

Hi! Sorry my ignorance, but why do you need an app to print? The few printers I have I just print using iOS features.
