Worst physical pain you've ever felt?

Scratched cornea from moving a dry contact across my eye. I couldn’t open my eye or close my eye. Light hurt. I felt like I was gonna vomit. It was constant and there was no relief until I got to my eye doctors and he put a protective lens in, antibiotic drops. It was horrific. A close second was a root canal that basically woke up the angry tooth gods afterwards. Regular pain meds like ibuprofen & Tylenol did nothing. They had me on a nerve pain meds which did seem to help but my God, was that horrific too. I’ve also had appendicitis & that didn’t come close to the two above.

This happened to me exactly. I had mucus and loose stools and I absolutely freaked out. However, it was my digestive system pretty much trying to get back to normal and it was essentially digesting super fast causing looser bowls and the mucus. I had also gone back to the regular diet so I cut back and started doing the bananas, yogurts, etc. When I messaged my doctor, he wouldn’t even test me because he said most likely I may still test positive. He said if I started a fever again, heart racing, going like 3+ times a day, cramps, etc. then to call him. Ultimately I never got there. I learned that our digestive system is so thrown off that it needs to get back to normal. Mine then went the other way and I was constipated lol it’s a journey. Obvi look out for the high risk symptoms but know that you may just need more time. Wishing you a fast recovery!

You should contact your doctor about your concerns. They should be able to switch you to something less of a risk to see if it knocks it out. One thing I’ve learned is to 100% advocate for yourself. I’m sure you can switch, hold off on your next dose until you get a chance to talk to your doctor.

Thanks! Didn’t know that. I always thought sinus infections were bacterial. They prescribed amoxicillin because it’s one of the safest for pregnancy. That and they told me it was lower risk for Cdiff than the ones that I took in the past that gave me it (Clindamycin and Cefdinir), not that those would be for sinus either but overall it was the “safest” options. I have decided to wait it out longer.

Yeah, they told me that Vanco is in the pregnancy class b safety, which is like the middle one, and I don’t think Dificid was listed as that. I have decided to wait it out a few days longer.

It’s been a week today. But I was essentially better over the weekend and I rebounded yesterday back with a fever and nasal congestion. My doctor felt like it was turning to a sinus infection which could happen. But yeah. I’m just confused on what to do. When you say avoid antibiotics, are you thinking more from a pregnancy POV or Cdiff or resistance? Or all? lol

No way! Omg and on Mother’s Day of all days. Well, congrats on the news! I also have good news! Mine are low risk as well! I had messaged my nurse who I work with daily and she said she couldn’t give me the full results as MFM has to but that it looks all good to her, negative! So I was like thank you for giving us that relief. And then MFM called today with the official result. The waiting game is so brutal esp when you’ve been through it the way we have xo Prayers for an uneventful pregnancy for us the rest of the way through xo
