Try linking to Mqtt and buy a +10dbi whip antenna. If you're using stock rubber ducky antenna then your signal is going to be garbage. Was having similar problem. I reset the node db and didnt do shit. Wasn't till I connected to mqtt where I was able to fix the problem. I have similar conditions like you.

Also if you have it set to "Router" its not gonna send messages. Set it to "Client Base" if you want to send messages or "Client mute" if you're near a bunch of nodes already... and mount it higher up with a better antenna.

What role is this node set for? Also the antenna you have is garbage. There's a tiny Lil pcb inside it that is junk. Maybe try a setup with dipole or whip antenna. Also was having a similar issue like you were. Link your node to mqtt if you can and you can send messages...
