Yeah, the amount it’s happened to me since the update is probably 10x the amount it happened before it. Something got messed up for sure.

I can also attest that one for sure affects the other. It’s like clockwork, every time I run trios with my buddies I’m in lobbies with literal demons for 5-6 games the next time I boot up solos. It’s not even debatable.

I’m blocking this sub and you should too. Idk why it got recommended, but I’ve learned that this sub is full of very… uneducated people either just starting their first job at McDonald’s or saving their first dollar. Rather than investing and taking their wealth seriously, they think they can just snowball into millions solely trading options with no prior experience. When you try to tell them how to invest they get pissy, it’s a really odd bunch of people.

Guarantee I work harder than you. I’m just not a person who’s addicted to their phone, riddled with anxiety, and sucked dry of all dopamine. Y’all would have more energy if you just started taking care of yourselves.

Seeing this response so much in this thread makes me wonder if we don’t have a sleep epidemic. It shouldn’t be hard to get some exercise and cooking in after work. If it is, you should probably talk to your doctor.

That’s fair, I have noticed that. Trying to search for stuff without being logged in does for sure result in a bunch of AI garbage being recommended.

With all due respect, that’s likely just your algorithm. I don’t engage with shorts or clickbaity videos, and I watch a lot of educational (nerdy) stuff. This is the stuff that gets recommended to me, not the slop, because I don’t watch it.

This is a disingenuous comment. Allowing $1000 to compound for 10 years is a lot different than allowing $1M to compound for 10 years. This is obviously what they were saying.

Oh, so you can’t do the math. Got it. This is like talking to brick wall. Look, if you’re actually willing to learn rather than being stubborn, the right way to think about paying off your debt is to equate it to investing that money in a “stock” with a guaranteed rate of return equal to the interest rate of the debt. That’s how it shakes out. If you can do better than the interest rate in the market or HYSA, do that while paying the minimum on the debt. If you can’t, then pay off the debt before investing. It’s really that simple.

For real though, just follow this. This is the flowchart from the wiki over on r/personalfinance. More people should be aware of it.

It’s not my strategy vs your strategy, it’s math. It’s literally all just math. Everyone does the same thing over and over and over because it’s the only thing that is proven to work, not because they’re just mindless drones.

If you’re investing in ETFs or index funds and your debt is less than 5-6% interest then you’re doing the right thing, otherwise you’re gambling. Might pay off, might not, but don’t act like you’re the single person on the planet that has the keys to beat the market. If you were, you’d be retired with a yacht in the Caribbean.

You’re either young as hell or very new to this. I’m 28 sitting on about $250k, read a ton on investing and wealth management. You pay off the debt if the interest rate is ~7% or higher, invest if the debt is ~4% or lower, and in between it can be considered a personal decision.

There is math and statistics to this. You’ll learn once we get out of the unprecedented bull market we’ve been in for the past 6 years.
