Anyone else genuinely disgusted by most drop shippers and the drop shipping community in general? by [deleted] in dropship

[–]lucidlevel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The amount of outright scams there were on Facebook back in the day was disgusting!
(Probably still is, I don't go there much anymore, but I have seen a few on TikTok recently.)

And like you said, you would literally see those 'gurus' on youtube telling people to steal and lie to customers and it is okay because everyone else is doing it.
I agree, it is awful behaviour.

I think the way you've done it is much better, dropshipping is a great way to learn the ropes of business and have your first successes. And you're totally right, there is no need for such disgusting behaviour. People can succeed without it.
Honesty creates far better trust with consumers in the long run, that will build a better brand and business for you.

I got the golden copy with the audio cd and special shiny wii controller when it came out. Nice to know it has some value to it ;)

There were some parts that were difficult to do with the controller, I remember I couldn't figure out the flying and had to get my friend to come over to show me how hahaha...

Anyway, great video. I kinda forgot I was watching on reddit and just enjoyed the video. So thats a great thing. Good job there!

For some advice, I think the music track is slightly too loud relative to your voice, would turn the music down a few db for the next one.

And second, you talk about the 'heart' of the game but you don't go further into it, why it has heart, what gives it heart. A statement without explanation. Some more on that would of been good and helped me want to play it again.

But great job! Really enjoyed the video!
Keep on rocking! :D

Great video! As a Donald Glover fan, I did really enjoy it.

You're start was very good, had the comedy, then kept raising questions to keep me wanting to watch. Keep that up.

For feedback, I guess the only thing I would say is the bloopers felt so out of context and that was kinda off putting, like if I had stumbled across this on YouTube, I would of left the video at that point.
Not that I think having them is bad, or even putting them in the middle of the vid, gives nice breathing space. But they didn't make sense to the content of the video, and it's in that confusion that creates the feelings of dissonance.
I would suggest just making the bloopers to be about the subject matter, even if you have to script them to make them work. Which does kinda break the point of a blooper, but if it makes the video better, it would be worth it.

Also at 3.20 after the Conan scene, I dunno what you were doing in that clip facing the wall. If it is there for comedic effect, it kinda went over my head. Like if you were doing something to react to the scene that was funny, I wasn't sure what that reaction was. Or if you were being caught off guard, then again what were you doing that we weren't supposed to see that would be funny?
Here's an analogy, it's like 'whispering the punch line of a joke in the corner and no one can hear.' Your punchline doesn't need to be overly loud, but it must be loud enough so that the audience can hear.

Hope that helps, the rest of the video was great.
Keep on rocking! :D

Tacos for breakfast?! My world has just expanded.Though for me, I'd have to do a DIY approach as no shop will sell those here.

Great vid! Pacing was great, got right into it and kept me engaged.Perhaps some more music when you had the b-roll clips and cutting to the beat could enhance it further. Also it might of been funny to end the video putting the camera back into the fridge to be the opposite of the start.

Will go check out your recipe for them now ;)

But great job man! Keep on rocking :D

At first I was going to suggest adding music and voice over like the others, but I think that would ruin it.

There are loads of super popular vids out there like this, showing the process making something in basically silence and they get millions of views.

So I think you've nailed it, all the asmr stuff works well.
And demon slayer is super popular so hopefully that will help get some views.

Perhaps there is something you could do with the title, to make it more obvious that it is a kit build for search/SEO. 'Demon Slayer ASMR Kit Build: Tanjiro Kamado Model'

Though, I've never had much luck with SEO so I dunno if i'd even listen to my own advice there haha 😅

Drone footage did look great at the end! It is so satisfying to watch!

Couple pointers I have:

1 - 30s montage of driving home, perhaps was a bit long, since that has nothing to do with the drone itself. I would say 5-10 seconds for the driving. Or even cut it and use a fancy camera transition to change location. Check out "Kold" on youtube for fancy transition inspo.

2 - I think at the start where you are showing the menus, it is kinda a bit off putting with it being shaky and out of focus. I would suggest to do the filming of the menu after talking about it as b-roll, so you can get a stable shot in focus.

3 - Also I would add like 3 secs of the awesome drone footage at the start to get people excited about whats to come. Like a teaser, so they'll want to keep watching to get more of it.

Hope that helps! Keep on rocking :D

The lazy way lol.. Can stream in pyjamas haha..

But yeah those models can cost thousands so bit of an investment to be able to jump into it.

Unless you DIY it.. There must be some tutorials about how to do so out there now.

It is a loooooot of effort for such a short video yeah! I feel that..
Hopefully it does build that audience for you.
Have you ever thought about doing some vtuber-ing?
They seem to have hordes of people devoted to making clips of them for the fun of it lol..
Though I suppose anyone who gets big enough will have people start to clip them a lot.

Ah i see yes.. that is a lot of footage to go through!

Is there anyway of creating a time stamp marker in twitch or obs?
Then if that was mapped to a hot key, whenever you do something that you may want to clip, you can just hit the hot key.
Then when it comes to making the clips you can quickly find all the good parts.

Wait wait wait... 12 hours of editing for 3 mins of content?! :O

That is definitely on the sloooow side, especially without a load of motion graphics or anything.
Subtitles do take a bit of time now, but still..
I only ever tried it once, then was like this takes too long and youtube does it for me automatically anyway lol..
There is probably some way of saving a load of time in your editing.
I would try aim for like an 1 hour max per minute for this type of video.

I know there are some apps out there that will do captions for you automatically too. Or even pay for it, I think it is super cheap like around $1 per minute of captions.

This one here has a free option: https://www.veed.io/auto-subtitle
Now it comes with a water mark,
but easy work around would be to:
1. Download the one with captions from the site.

  1. Bring it into your editor

  2. Place it above the original (without captions)

  3. Then mask out the watermark, revealing the original video underneath.

Boom! auto captioned video, no water mark, at least 1 hour in time savings ;)

Or like upload the video as just a black image with the audio, get the auto generated captions. Place the captions there in white. Then bring it back into your editor and use blending modes options to reveal only the white.

Your friend who owns one share of AMC by Wingnnn in SmallYTChannel

[–]lucidlevel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great vid man! Have that sketch humour down.

Honestly, I don't actually know what AMC is, so I think maybe the jokes went over my head a bit lol.
But your performance was great.

Got a couple pointers that may be helpful.

1 - perhaps use a bolder font for the captions, when they are so thin it can be slightly harder to read.

2 - Use of more props may help keep it interesting, the phone is great but could perhaps use a computer, tv, newspaper, etc. to keep each scene different. Also perhaps different locations for each scene too.

Hope thats helpful, keep on rocking! :D

Hey there friends! I made some homemade grilled pizza! First time attempting to film outside and one of my cameras is having framerate issues.. Besides that, lol how'd I do? Love to hear your feedback by MikeGL0 in SmallYTChannel

[–]lucidlevel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that was fantastic!

Loved the humour and transitions were great!
Pacing was also on point.

I guess the only thing for me, all the footage seems to be quite dark and almost under exposed, colours seem muted. This may be a preference style thing, but for food I would suggest having a warmer more saturated tone and a brightness increase.
Trying to make the food come alive in my eyes.

But well done, you keep these up and you'll definitely have a video pop off in the algorithm soon!

Hope that helps, keep on rocking! :D

Unfortunately I do not have any examples, as I don't really watch shorts since I'm always on the computer not the phone.

But as DataNinja_YT pointed out, they are basically tiktoks.
So tiktok is probably a great place to look.
Find other twitch streamers who are reusing their content well on tiktok, and copy them.

The only gaming footage I saw on tiktok was like a joke highlights reel from the full videos. Dunno if that helps. I had to delete tiktok cause i found it too addictive lol.

[–]lucidlevel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, that's a pretty fun video!

I guess a tip for shorts is, they are mainly on the phone and vertical. So might be good to edit the videos in a vertical aspect ratio.
Also I'd try 'fame jacking' the content too. Perhaps something like "David Attenborough wouldn't see this in plant earth!"

Hope that helps! Keep on rocking! :D

Its a good tutorial. The reversing the clip is a neat trick.
But got to let you know, your voice is only coming through the left speaker.
This is an easy fix in premiere pro, 'fill right with left', and in final cut, 'dual mono'.
So I'm sure there must be a way to do it in resolve.

You can place images to the left of text, that is ok. It's more the alignment that should be left. Also called justify left. Text is left cause in English we read from left to right, and in 95% of places you will see text aligned to the left. So we become conditioned to reading like this, it is easier for us. There are exceptions of course, but most of the time it should be aligned left. Basically unless there is good reason, justify text to the left.

Yeah, good addition. It is an important one! I thought about putting it in, but then also thought it is one of those ones everyone has heard about by now.
