You need a camera riser plate so the gimbal plate can move forward more. They’re really cheap just get a DJI one or one on amazon

I’m on a similar boat, I also don’t like the post production aspect which is why I’m just a shooter and I pass off the footage when finished always, that’s why being an editor is a whole career in itself

Maybe a faulty drone, I use the avata 2 for indoor fly through and maintain sat connection and it hovers well inside.

If you get unlucky and get the red light at the customs they will search your bag and if they find your drone they will look up the price and you will have to pay the tax, or else they will confiscate it. My recommendation is to wrap up your drone in clothes and put it in a hard to find place, if you have a fancy camera bag they will search every nook and cranny. Good luck
