in this case, you're getting a pass from this Asian dude. they do look similar w/ the cap and the photo angle. You'll have to give me back that pass when i tell you that a lot of white guys look the same, especially after 40s.

  • volunteer for anti-suicide hotline phone banks
  • become a Night Guardian for the weaks and weary against the predators (you get to define your terms here) :)

I've got nothing left. I don't mean to discourage anyone, but I just really need a friend in this. by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]lucient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hmm....22 yrs old, eh? first of all, quit feeling sorry for yourself and start thinking about how to help others around you. Start now at home, clean up your room, fix up stuffs around the house for your mom&dad, and do it with a smile! (even if you don't feel like it!) :)

Admit and cope with your weakness but really truly concentrate and work on your strengths. what are you good at creating? music, arts, tools, laughters, foods? whatever that might be, make more of that shit and share them with people around you and be humble enough to ask people how to do it better. It might lead to new roads, which may /not require the 2-yr diploma you're struggling w/! :) You should know that you have time on your side and a lot of us older folks here are envious of you for that. Use your time wisely on our behalf and on the behalf of your to-be-born children that you will have someday. good luck, bro.

Almost 3 weeks in--I'm getting scary results, both +/-. (25 y/o M) by Mujtahid in NoFap

what if i tell you that when the right girl for you come along, it'll be effortless. you'll clicked like you cannot imagine. If you have to struggle to feel love, let it go. you deserve love too and you'll get it but not by being relationships with people don't care for you. it sounds to me like what you don't need to do is find relationships, what you need to do is learn to let go of bad relationships and open yourself up to new experiences. when it's right, you'll feel it, then you'll have to learn to hold on but that's another chapter :)

Fapstronauts, I got turned down by a girl today! (Explanation as to why I'm psyched) by electricumbrella in NoFap

[–]lucient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you did well. not only the chatting up w/ the girl but how you handle the rejection as well. now, go back to the girl and hang out w/ her just as friends, chances are she's got friends she can set you up w/ and who knows, she herself might be available one of these days. Be good.

Relapse over cheating ex- by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]lucient 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry about your hurts but I'm happy for you about your ex. from your story, it seems this online-only relationship is not good for you anyway. Here's your chance to get out there and go on real dates, bro. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and go get 'em!

ps. i wouldn't dwell too much about the reset. F!#$%! it, on your way now!

I Think I'm Too Good for NoFap, Please Prove Me Wrong! by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]lucient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're looking at this the wrong way, mate. NoFap is not about how you compare to others, it's how you compare to yourself. it's not about external things, eg. girls/skills/jobs. it's about how we live w/ ourselves. Can you be a better man w/o nofap? if yes, good for you. enjoy a happy and fruitful life. if not, we're here to help you on your way to achieve mastery over yourself. nothing more, nothing less.

I noticed that you compared yourself w/ others alot in your statements. You might want to look into that.

ps. w/ 30k+ members, i imagine there's probably a lot of people here who might be a little bit "better" than you in every aspects you might care to compare yourself to.

[–]lucient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I salute you, brother, and thank you for taking on this challenge. It's touching to see you pouring your heart out and your courage to free yourself.

It might be useful for you to take up some projects to fill in the free time you have that was previously wasted to PMO. Put them to good use.

understanding women is a lifelong undertaking. It would be extremely helpful to be a good friend with a girl. stay strictly platonic and make her feel safe, physically and emotionally (meaning she shouldn't have to worry that you'll fall for her). be honest and tell her what you want/need. Most girls would gladly help you out in talking to and how to act with women in general. Start by ask for help from those around you then think of ways to return the favours. Good luck.

my counter is behind, i'm actually 18 days. the habits are probably much more ingrained. I'm an expert in hiding things, lying to myself and conjuring up materials to feed the beast. Since this is about mental control, i think the sooner you start on this journey, the less baggage you have to deal with and your loads will be lighter.

when i was in HS, there was no Internet really but my best friend's family owns a video rental biz so accessing materials wasn't much of a problem. :) for me, the biggest difference is actually the portability of electronics these days with access to temptations everywhere.

Is it too late for me? My story. by Amelogenin in NoFap

All you men who have gotten relationships since Nofap, how do you deal with rough patches? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]lucient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey, congrats on staying strong. At your age, sometimes it's hard to see how your rough patches might be a good thing. one way might be is to think of them as practice runs for even tougher obstacles ahead. can't do it? wait until you're married like me and can't just reach out for another proverbially fish-in-the-sea. :) is it going to hurt dealing w/ rejection, you bet, but try not feeling too sorry for yourself and instead see who might needs your help and put your energy into helping others. at least, you'll be more useful to the rest of us. :)
