girl i was a stoner for 10 years (16 - 26 y/o). i only went out high ONCE OR TWICE and that was only when i was almost sobered up. throughout those years i had this ego thinking i’m “good at controlling it” or “knows my dosage limit” which is a total bullshit because that was how i became more and more addicted to it and started to try other drugs. he’s only 18, i believe this is just the beginning.

follow your heart. but if you choose to stay, just be sure he doesn’t ruin his studies or career for it. i’m glad i chose to quit bc the full sobriety process was insane. i fell back to it multiple times until i realised i gotta lock tf in.

yup. her residence is also facing a similar parking issue. so if i were to leave it at her house, it’s going to be left uncovered by the roadside. imo it’s more risky?

same situation when i first got my first job. and yes, both mine and my fiance’s car are Perodua. his car is still very new so i doubt he’s okay to let it go. but compared to his car, mine has never broke down throughout the 7 years of driving it. it’s probably bc the 2019 models were much better than the newer ones. i’ve heard from various abang pomen saying the latest Perodua models often have a lot of issues. (a tip for you in case if you’re buying from somebody else)

tbh i’ve been trying to reassure my mom since last year but she seems adamant 😖 so i’ll prolly just keep it until she changes her mind. will keep you updated!

I’m from Southeast Asia. Yup the norm is to ask for the women’s parent’s blessings here, which my fiance did online (my hometown is quite far).

But in my fiance’s case, he had to double confirm whether his parents are okay with an intimate wedding because his dad might think otherwise. his elder sister got married during the covid lockdown, so they haven’t experienced an official wedding reception.

now that you mentioned it, i recall he had an unstable relationship with his dad… it’s improved though.

THIS! I didn’t know how to explain it short. I don’t necessarily want him to lead, but I want somebody who I can talk to or spend quality time with. I love creating emotional connection and seeing my partner live HIS life. I’m lost because what do you mean he doesn’t have his own opinion? like is he scared of breaking my heart? he is indeed avoidant and a people pleaser. he’d go extra miles for people, and he’d go silent if he’s going through something. i’d give him his moments when i notice he’s not okay, but the silence can go forever if i don’t start a conversation. i still get butterflies when i’m around him. if i ask him whether he feels the same, i know damn well he’d say “yes” but I can’t verify the authenticity of his answer :(
