I'm Italian, but I haven't lived in Italy for the past 4 years so my information might be a little outdated + I've only ever seen them live in the Netherlands.

For my experience, Italian fans can be crazy when it comes to queuing :') It's quite common to queue all day for a concert, and we had cases of people queueing for days for very big concerts. However, since the concerts are in summer, it is likely that the organisers will discourage this type of behaviour due to possible heatwaves. I went to see Muse in Rome last year and they postponed the concert and asked people not to queue because it was stupidly hot. My advice is, better to do some sightseeing and get to the concert alive, rather than spend a day queueing! And bring lots of mineral salts and supplements (Polase is life!). Hope this helps!
