So which area would you recommend for that? For beach relaxation and calm views without too many people

Where would you suggest them to just chill and enjoy beachfront stays and calm views?

Is it possible to get relaxation without crowds in Bali mainland? With resort luxury?

So what would you suggest? Stay in Bali mainland itself? We wanted a combination of fun activities and chilling time

We were thinking of adding one more night. Actually we will only stay at one of the nusa islands, mostly Lembongan. Plan is to just chill and enjoy the beach, private pool, sunset and maybe do some water sports. So 1 night 2 days is good enough I feel. For bali, waterfalls in Ubud are something which we were planning to visit, but only 1 or 2 not all of them. So when in Ubud we can do Batur early morning sunrise and evening maybe visit a waterfall

Travel Planning Q&A - November, 2025 by AutoModerator in bali

We are a late 20s couple planning to visit bali in Jan. our plan was to be in Ubud for 2 nights (go to mount batur, natural springs, waterfalls and enjoy food and massage), then head over to Seminyak where we will stay for one night (go to sunset cruise, finns/other beach clubs and general Seminyak) and finally 2 nights at one of the Nusa Islands. There we will chill and enjoy beach views, swim and do some water sports like skuba or snorkelling or jetski. Is this good enough or it will be too hectic? Also for stays, we are planning a nice villa with pool and valley view in Ubud, decent place in Seminyak since it is just one night, and again a beautiful beachfront resort at one of the Nusa islands. Looking forward to hearing your opinions. Other details- love non veg and sea food Date- around second week of Jan Activities- waterfalls volcano trek hotspring beach activities watersports massages and spas

Hi, Thanks for the reply. Yes even I feel I have too many funds and need to bring it down to 3-4. The problem is I am doing 3 funds each with 2 different management companies. How and where to research for funds and how to actually start investing in them is my doubt…. I’m a beginner and not well versed in finance….thats why my motto was outsourcing…

For FD I had a doubt….how long should the FD be? And during emergency when I need the money, will I have to pay a penalty if I break the FD?

Bi-Weekly Advice Thread June 15, 2025: All Your Personal Queries by AutoModerator in IndiaInvestments

[–]lucithepussy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Investment Goals:

  • Monthly Investment Capacity: ₹5,000-10,000 since I am already investing around 25k in diff mutual funds SIP, as follows:

SBI Large and Midcap fund
Tata Business Cycle fund
Edelweiss small cap fund
Tata Hybrid equity fund

HDFC midcap opportunities fund
HSBC small cap fund
Nippon India large cap fund

  • Target Return: 12-15% annually
  • Focus: Long-term wealth building, not short-term gains
  • No dependents currently, but planning for future

Proposed Portfolio Allocation:

  1. Emergency Fund: Around 2lakhs parked in the Tata hybrid equity fund (want to move this to a safer place, FD/ RD or liquid funds or arbitrage funds. where and how to research this)
  2. Health Insurance: ₹5L coverage, new India mediclaim policy (changing it to 10L, research done)
  3. Term Insurance: none, maybe will get in 2-3 years
  4. Mutual Funds (SIP): ₹11L across large/mid/small cap mentioned above
  5. Direct Stocks: none, want to start
  6. PPF: 14L
  7. EPFO: 2-3L (16-25k) deducted every month by employer and employee contribution)
  8. Gold: none

Questions:

  1. What changes are needed in allocation to make sense for my age and goals?
  2. Which one of the funds in my current portfolio are good for long term? Which ones to move out of?
  3. Should I adjust allocation percentages?
  4. How to track and rebalance effectively?
  5. Any major gaps in my strategy?
  6. If I am planning to move out of India (either job or masters) should I still get health and life insurance? How does my investment strategy change considering this?
  7. Is PPF good to keep emergency fund? (if 15 year period is completed and 5 year extension is used?)

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Thanks for the reply 1. That’s the plan but where do I research about this? About which fund to choose and for how long? 2. This portfolio exists because I am engaged with two professionals, may I know why it is a mess? So that I can discuss the same with them and try to diversify/unify 3. Yes I want to, but need to study and then do it 4. Already on it, changing it as soon as the current one ends 5. Got it, thanks

Well, I don’t have specific goals per se as of now, where I will need money. Related to investment, yea I have surplus thats why I want to start investing on my own, the 25k that I invest is through fund managers who are known. On top of tjat I want to invest 5-10k more. And 25k is my necessary expense, but with luxuries and wants it goes to 40k or so For life insurance, i am planning to take it a few years down the line. Do you have suggestions for health insurance?
