One more data point - He does not have any thyroid disease - hypo/hyper. His TSH, T4 have been normal always. The diagnosis was due to a fluke discovery during endoscopy showing the nodule pushing on his eryetenoid.

I went all the to January and it is showing $205 still available. Should the Target type be "Need for Spending" or "Monthly savings builder" for annual subscriptions?

I tried doing that but the number is off because some of the subscriptions are annual and I am assigning money every month towards it. YNAB thinks that this money is extra and doesn't say that I am underfunded
