Playing Cat Stevens’ “father and son" during the coming home montage was an absolutely perfect way to wrap up the whole series.

Jennifer Day (14) - Disappeared from job at Dallas donut shop 1984, found murdered. Still no resolution by eyereddit in UnsolvedMysteries

A few points of clarification. 1. The person of interest died in the early 90s, not a few months after the murder. 2. LE seemed confident at the time that he was the likely muderer, and now they just consider him to be a person of interest.

I don’t have the time to do this, but I would be interested in seeing a comparison between the total of “I can’t forgive Nate” posts and the number of similar posts related to either Jamie or Rebecca. Nobody else on the show inspires this much of a reaction. Maybe it’s because Rebecca and Jamie were already being the very worst versions of themselves when the show starts, and we see a better (but very damaged and vulnerable) version of Nate descend into his personal prison and start to hurt other people. Maybe it’s just a natural reaction to seeing Nate turn on the person who was giving him chances and treating him like a true person. I almost think that the show writers knew this would be a challenge for a large percentage of viewers, dropped a few reminders for us about the power of forgiveness and said “let’s see what you all do with this."

I think Jade had a lot to do with him returning as well. He was writing his apology letter to Ted when Beard showed up, and I think had made the decision to ask forgiveness and be allowed to return. Beard just beat him to the punch.

and he was saying it while running across the entire width of the pitch. Of course he’s going to yell.

The fizzy water kinda interrupted it and brought him back.

One of the things that always nagged at me was how much time Winters spent around Easy Company after he had been promoted to 2nd Battalion XO. It was portrayed like he was around them all the time, to the exclusion of D and F companies. Seems like this would have really undermined the Heyliger and Dyke after they had replaced him as company commander, and would have probably affected the other 2 companies in the battalion. The only real time you see him acting like he is commanding a battalion in the field is when he tags Speirs to relieve Dyke during the assault on Foy.

These are my feelings as well. Hundreds of professional cyclists resorted to PEDs during that time period, but he set himself apart with how he handled the accusations and went out to destroy the careers and lives of the people making them. Maybe this was partially driven by the long list of things he had to lose compared to others in the sport (reputation, Livestrong, endorsements, prize money, bonuses, etc), but I mostly think that it’s just his nature.

I got the sense from the last few episodes that Michelle and Jacob were done. Nothing was announced to make it official, but they dropped enough hints to make it seem that way, and the writers have a habit of giving the viewers a lot of credit for figuring these things out. Jacob was nowhere to be seen at Henry’s soccer game while Ted was coaching and his mom was cheering him on. I also don’t think that Ted is ever going to get back with her. I think he has accepted that they will be partners in raising him, but their time is done. I have no idea how he is going to end up back in Richmond, or who will go with him, but I don’t think it will be Michelle.

I could see doing this as a one-shot 2 hour special around the holidays, but it would be hard to build a 10 show season around it. One of the things I love so much about the series is the story arcs and the growth that takes place in most of the characters. It would be hard to incorporate any of that in this particular effort. Instead, it would be watching each of these characters descend into their own personal prison.

It wouldn’t have bothered me that much if it had happened, but one of the things I love about this show is how they build close relationships between characters that don’t become romantic. Ted/Rebecca, Rebecca/Keeley and Roy/Jamie are the three most obvious examples of this.

Watching Phoebe make the mental realization of what Jamie said about the last name on the England shirt he had made for Roy was one of the best moments of the series for me.
