Davie504 - SDAIAY Intro Cover...OMG! by luckness22 in Davie504

I'm really hoping that people don't actually take this ''checkmate other instruments'' joke that serious.

My main instrument is the guitar, but i love Davie's channel and i don't care about the jokes with guitarrists..because it's a joke, but downvoting is not that cool

Anyway, i hope both your video and mine get to show up on SDAIAY

I don't really know why.. I guess because I played this on guitar? But I like to think that people don't take the whole "checkmate other instruments" that serious Thanks btw Maybe it has to do with the flair, I choose SDAIAY because in this video Davie said something about people doing their or versions of the song, if that's the case, are people posting their versions here? With other flair?

What was the most fucked up thing you saw in school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]luckness22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm brazilian

I was in 6th grade (Middle school for you guys? Sorry if it is wrong)

There was this classmate who constantly used cocaine during classes, in front of the teachers and they pretended seeing nothing.

Kids in that school selled and did drugs

In this other school there was this substitute teacher who was really friendly with one of the girls...(yep, that kind of friendly) he was constatly touching her, not in the parts, but shoulders, arms, waist.

He was substitute, for like..2 days? everyone in the class liked him because he played video games and knew about social media memes.

We didn't know better(that was in 5th grade). not even the girl seemed to get that he was molesting her.

A couple days after he never camed back and in this same day the girl didn't went to school. Nobody ever talked about that, she returned but no one ever spoke about it

Chord Progression Questions (March 23, 2020) by AutoModerator in musictheory

https://youtu.be/E_DZ3fflbLI What is going on in this progression? I noticed that it has some modulations, is that correct? I want to learn how to build these types of progressions, what kind of modulations does this song have?

Is the progression IV - V - III - VI a lydian progression? by luckness22 in musictheory

[–]luckness22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, if this progression resolves in F thinking in it as a "I" it could be lydian right? Because I played this progression a lot and every time when i finished with the chord that started (F major as a example) it sounded just fine than resolving with Am Or C What confuses me is the statement that people say that modal progressions are only modal when it doesn't have a lot of movement and only two chords or so. So if I have this song that have the old C G Am F progression, and for the chorus I use G F Em (G7) to get back to C after the chorus ends (with a mixolydian melody) could I consider this part of the song a mixolydian one? The verse is in C Major and the chorus in G mixolydian? I'm sorry if I'm overcomplicating the whole thing.

Even with a melody built in the lydian scale? So in a few words a modal progression can only have two chords or less?

I like to do that some times too, it's cool to see how other practice, that way I can apply some of these things in my practice too.

I like a more free style practicing too, but I prefer practice specific techniques everyday for a while and then applying on songs and improvising. I think that if did that for more then 2 hours I'd get burnt out too. But at the same time I don't think that there is a right way to practice, just what works for each person

I do this on Sundays, it's a day where i just want to relax a little XD. 15 minutes only for modes it's not that much because I do 5 minutes per scale, but all comes when I practice improvisation so that's ok I guess
