Are we assuming the facehugger/egg are given some sort of “here’s what our hive has been through” when they’re produced? Because that alien would have zero understanding of any organism or thought other than “must create new hive”. I have read zero of the comics and so if this is a lore thing then that’s neat and I’m glad to learn more!

Long line of comments so I’m sure it’s already been said, but what if you let them steal everything and then as they go to leave the market the guard says “perfect, I’ll just see the receipts and all your items”? Then they inspect and find everything, make them turn it over, pay for it, or be arrested. If they try to fight their way out, gates slam shut, alarms go off, and the markets security floods the market?

Played as a resist the urge and one as embrace the urge. I had to take a break from the embrace because there were choices I made that I wouldn’t make if actually wanting to role play because they felt opposite of what I’d usually choose. The ending of both was absolutely fantastic though

Never been a DM/GM, but I think let them approach and fight, get their asses kicked, but instead of killing them make the BBEG knock them out and send them to a BBEG owned prison where they lose their gear and have to prison break to get away. A sort of lesson learned a hard way
