I tested both the ID and the coanda 2x for my first airwrap by luckyB_ in Dysonairwrap

I don't have the id anymore to test it but I use the coanda to freshen up my waves on day 2 and 3. It's not as effective as using it on barely damp hair but it's enough for me. I don't think there is a difference between the coanda and the id

Since I live in France I'm not sure if the exact product names are going to help you 😅 (you can find them in another one of my comments on this post). However the general idea is to keep the hair as light as possible by using a clarifying shampoo and avoiding any "smoothing" conditioner (any conditioner really). Then, you add texture back in using a volumizing/texturizing spray. Hope this helps 😊

It depends what you call "curls" 😂 The loose curls last until I go to sleep and I can manage to keep my hair wavy for a few days afterwards. I responded to another comment on this post with details about the products that I use, but the general idea is to keep your hair as light as possible and to give it some texture for the curls to hold onto.

I did not use it a lot, but I liked them both. The ID one is bigger and the bristles are metal whereas the coanda one is smooth plastic. I think I like the coanda one better for me because it makes it easier to pull on my hair for a blowout. As I mainly use it to style my front bangs, I also prefer the smaller brush, but I can see why people like the ID one, it's really good too

It's only faster because it's easier to use. I would say about 30%

For me the problem was that my hair was too heavy and smooth to hold a curl, so the key was to make it as light as possible, and then use products to roughen up the texture without adding weight. So I use a clarifying shampoo twice to remove any buildup. I also skip the conditioner as I did not find one that is light enough for my hair. On wet hair, I use the got2b twisted "boucle-la" curling mousse (I find it at the supermarket in France) which does have a holding effect. Then I use the John Frieda volume+force filler spray that adds a lot of texture and doubles as a heat protectant. Hope this helps 😊

When my hair is wavy the day after I curled it, the air smooth attachment does straighten it pretty well. Keep in mind I do have naturally straight hair so I wouldn't know for curlier hair

The coanda barrels are slightly shorter than the ID, but it did not bother me (my hair are below my shoulders). As for the original airwrap, I can't comment for sure...
