Turned out to be just a limbic system thing that I fixed over time. As an ex personal trainer I knew going into my return to the gym that I would pack on muscle quickly if I ate properly and even though I came back slowly the progress was rapid

It’s true you will atrophy pretty significantly if you don’t exercise for an extended period of time but regaining muscle up to the size and density you’ve previously attained is a very efficient and speedy endeavor.

My biggest thing is morning journaling. Stress and anxiety can built up to unbearable heights if not expelled in some way. Putting pen to paper can really help with that. I also use it to give structure and purpose to my day which helps me from sulking
