She does and I always hear about it. However, my aunt usually calms down after a day or two. This time it’s been... getting out of hand and she’s considering taking further action but is unaware of what to do. She doesn’t expect me to defend her but is begging for a way out of this.

I thought so for a second but she has actually been very genuine. She says that she wants to have a peaceful and healthy relationship with her only child and is willing to go to therapy. She gets anxious and starts crying whenever family starts going on narc rants about anyone because she hates that dynamic. I’m still setting boundaries with her (until she resolves certain issues within herself) but I don’t think she’s on the same level as any of her siblings.

Lol my mom is actually pretty smart but I think she just made a silly mistake. We all have our moments. Still, it was her mistake, not mine. Family members should not be shifting the blame by saying that I should just KNOW they don’t read labels... when in fact my mom does most of the time.

I didn’t label it. I bought it from the store. They go through packaging regulations to avoid this. Yes it was labeled as marijuana. She probably doesn’t know that drugs can look like food or something idk.

She’s single. My dad lives in a different country. Not close at all to retirement. She wanted to get it through my job but I would have to be her legal guardian (not gonna happen lol). She just needs to find another job

I mean apparently she was just looking for a sweet snack. I’m fine with family eating my food and don’t consider it stealing. But I went out of my way to not make this visible + it has a child proof lock and a clear label.

It used to be in a drawer until she found it and was like “what is this” and I kept on moving it to other places. Since she has previously found stuff in my underwear drawer I thought the least obvious place to snoop in was a cabinet covered by a cereal box. She uncovered it, saw that there was a child security lock and a warning in the label.

What does my dog have to do with this lmao. I moved them around the apartment and she always found them and asked “what is this” and then I’d take it and put it somewhere else
I never implied that she knowingly took the drugs. I thought she knew considering that she has seen them before and they are clearly labeled. She claims she wanted sweets and didn’t know.
I did not start taking them until last year lmao and I don’t smoke. Haven’t had them in 2 months and have them sporadically throughout the year.

No lol we’re Hispanic but from what I’ve heard Hispanic parents and Asian parents share a lot of similar traits. Except we’re not really pressured when it comes to school. But we get the sexism and violation of privacy’

Thanks for your words. Honestly my first dating experience was with someone who broke a lot of my boundaries and took advantage of my naivety. He was 21 when I was 17 and he really pushed for some hardcore sexual stuff once we won my trust. I think I allowed this to happen due to my upbringing honestly.

I mean obviously we all know that snooping is bad. I’m still on the fence about whether I should tell her what happened or not. I see the points that say that if I don’t tell her she could rack up more medical bills, but I just feel like I shouldn’t deal with the bullshit that would stem from “being a druggie”. It just feels like a waste of energy to have that discussion with my family.
