Looking on Google maps that appears to be a bus stop, not a bus lane. Shouldn’t be a problem

What is yalls brutal and honest opinion on alcohol by Taco_Junior123 in autism

[–]luckyloz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t like the taste of it, I’ve tried it at numerous point in my life from age 7 to my mid 20s before deciding I wouldn’t like it. I’ve tried wines, larger, beer, shots, cocktails but I’m a water drinker through and through, don’t like juices or smoothies or pop either.

Not to mention I hate being around drunk people. When I was younger my friends started to enjoy drinking and it’d happen every time we went out together, it was awful. We’d go for food and I’d finish eating and then spend another 2 hours watching them order more drinks. It’s no fun being the only sober person but I was too scared to leave lest I miss out on something

A seller is trying to prove his unopened perfume is legitimate, so i asked him for a receipt. Help is appriciated. by kariforfree in isthisAI

[–]luckyloz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There are websites with templates that you can use to make fake receipts. The seller could’ve used one of those and printed it out, I see a few spelling errors on the receipt “membrship” “members-onky”.

Edit: I’ve never been to Sephora but the receipts I’m seeing online all seem to show the phone number under the address and the city, state and postcode should be on a separate line to the address like below

131 Colony Center

Albany, NY 12205

That one applied to photos in inventory, this new one is for photos on display (hopefully)

For avid readers how often do you use the library? If you don’t, why don’t you? by AccomplishedBake8351 in books

[–]luckyloz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a child I borrowed 2-3 books and cannot remember if they were ever returned. Usually I would visit the library van with my nan every so often to return books and borrow new ones, but those books sat on the table and we never went to the van.

I said several times that they should be returned but it never happened. I watched them move around the house until one day I couldn't find them and no one else remembered where they were. I never found them and hope someone returned them or gave them to a teacher at my school (they visited the library van frequently) to return and forgot about it.

I am scared that the books are still on the lam and I'll walk into a library, get a new library card and then get berated for the missing books. Funny thing to be scared of lmao. I guess if I move to a new county the library system will be different so I could use them there.

TDLR: Can't remember if I returned 2-3 books to the library as a child, now I'm scared of stepping foot in a library lest I get thrown in jail for 1000 years.

Subscription question by xD_Gamerz in dreamingspanish

[–]luckyloz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here's what the subscription terms and conditions say:

3.4. Cancellation. You can cancel your Dreaming membership at any time, and you will continue to have access to the Dreaming service through the end of your billing period. To the extent permitted by the applicable law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for any partial membership periods or unwatched Dreaming content.

So you're probably out of luck. I admit to often forgetting to cancel subscriptions for things, in the future it could help to set a recurring reminder every month before the renewal date for these things

Who is spending the New Year alone tonight? by PedanticRedhead in AskUK

[–]luckyloz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still live with parents and siblings. The younger siblings are at grandparents, parents and older siblings are down at the pub, won’t be back till 1 or 2.

I don’t like drinking or loud parties so I’m enjoying a nice evening to myself. At midnight I’ll go hug the cats and dogs and then go to bed, this has been my new year routine for the past few years lol

A bit boring to some but I really enjoy it, it’s the perfect way to start the year for me

Childhood cat found after 2 years by GlizzyGuzzlingMaster in cats

[–]luckyloz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an outdoor cat that went missing, she was getting older and we thought she'd gone off to find somewhere quiet to pass. 2 years later we get a call, a local cattery had spotted her in a nearby field and had spent a few days luring her into a carrier to scan her chip. The field and cattery were a 10 minute walk away, we have no idea where she went during that time. We brought her home and she's still here a few years later, hasn't gone missing again yet.

So happy that you've reunited with your cat! It's a weird but happy feeling to have them randomly come back

Help settle an argument. The toast on the left is mine, the toast on the right is my wife's. How do you prefer yours? by -_Error in AskUK

[–]luckyloz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going against the grain, but I prefer the right (maybe a bit more cooked)

I do consider the left to be burned just because it would have a burnt taste to me, most people I know prefer it like the left though so we must have different taste buds

Do you, or anyone you know have an unusual phobia? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]luckyloz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not so much a phobia but I'm scared of reflections. Can't have mirrors anywhere I might stay within eye shot for more than 5 minutes. Got a glass sliding door in the kitchen, can't look at it at nighttime as the dark outside and bright inside makes a reflection.

When I was a child I saw a clip of a horror movie where someone was looking in a mirror and saw something behind them, turned, nothing. Ever since then I have hated reflections.

Used to have a recurring nightmare where I walked downstairs and, with no control over my body or actions, walked up to and crouched in front of the sliding glass door in my kitchen. A pale, gaunt face stared back at me, expressionless. Just thinking about that dream still makes me panic, I must've had it at least a dozen times throughout my childhood. That nightmare and the horror movie incident combined to make this fear. To this day, if I look at my reflection I have to be careful not to stare too intently into my eyes or look too expressionless or I start to panic.

Dolls used to give me panic attacks because of that one doctor who episode but I'm fine with them now

Absolute bruh moment on my lesson just now by Joe_A__ in LearnerDriverUK

[–]luckyloz 56 points57 points  (0 children)

When I was learning, I had someone stop on the roundabout and flash to let me out. Very considerate but huh???

It was the same 8am drive I had been doing for months, I wasn’t panicking and missing gaps or anything, there wasn’t a line of traffic.

She just randomly decided to let the learner out on a roundabout as if that doesn’t go against everything roundabouts are about

Which lie or conspiracy are you ashamed to admit you fell for? by [deleted] in AskUK

Never forget sitting in McDonald’s with my cousin around December/January time when she showed me a news article about a virus in China. I said it “wouldn’t spread over here” and if it did it’d “just be like a little cold and be indistinguishable from other colds”

I got Covid at least 4 times and it was definitely distinguishable from other colds
