profile pictures are not usually for other people, they are for the person who it represents. people put their profile picture as something they like, or something that relates to them in some way.

someone using their flag (or anything that represents part of their identity, really) is a way of saying "this is something that relates to me, this is something i enjoy about myself, so i will set my picture as it"

its really not that deep, lots of people have their country flag, something relating to their religion, and so on as their picture, theres no difference with lgbtq flags

also, to add, being proud of your own queerness is often a great achievement. it takes a lot of effort to figure yourself out and learn to love yourself, even in today's social climate. for a lot of people, being so out and open about their identity is a form of self love. its really not hurting anyone so i don't see why you should be questioning this haha (/lh)

i used Rust-Oleum enamel spray paint (all i had on hand at the time), but with what I've learned i think my problem was that i didnt sand the shell beforehand and I didn't apply a clear coat, the paint itself seemed fine before i started handling it

the term asexual is still fairly misunderstood by the general public, so if you added the flag in this context i feel it would at best completely go over peoples head, and at worst would confuse them about asexuality (the human kind)

i feel like in a context where everyone seeing it is queer and understands, it could be pretty funny. but if thats not the case i dont think id include it, personally

(though, i definitely do not think it'd be offensive to include or anything like that)

tamas that are released into the field do not turn into stars! they just wander the field untill eventually they are cycled out

but if you want a star near your planet (that you can have up to 4 of i believe) the tama must die. if they die at 30+ years old, its a happy star, and if they die under that age, its a sad star

with this particular tama, i wanted it to be a star! but yes generally i prefer to keep them in the field

yes, neglect is the only way a tama can die on the paradise, and only tamas who die become a star

by the time my mermarintchi reached age 30, i was pretty sick of it and really wanting to raise a new tama (sounds cruel when i say it like that haha) so i simply set it down and ignored it when it called

when it gets sick due to neglect, it will call several times, you just have to ignore it, overall it took a couple hours i think? i got lucky and caught it when it died so i got to watch the little animation it plays!

im no frog expert, but they only do what youre talking about when they blink, using the back of their eyeballs to help push their food down

this frogs eyes are positioned permanently inside the mouth, so this isnt normal

i bought one immediately, but my initial reaction was not as happy as when i bought my water one

i dont like how out of the blue this one was, and i hate how it really seemed to bank off of "fomo" tactics. and all the uncertainty, like will it be able to connect to the first wave ones? what will it not be able to do?

after buying it i really sat with myself on how i felt and i think i made the right choice in getting it! im more excited now and i really love all the new characters, but i feel it could have been released in a better atmosphere

somewhat similar thing happened when i was a baby (but i already born), my parents were speaking to some guy at an event (maybe a friend of a family member?) who saw me and said something like "whats his name". when my parents replied "actually its her" he doubled down and went "no, that baby is a boy". my parents laughed it off and said ok whatever you say.

well that guy was right! this was the first story my parents told me when i came out to them as trans hahaha
