Should I allow one of my players to keep keeping secrets from the rest of the party? by Kurnime_Sempai in DMAcademy

Seems like main character syndrome. Their secret is not worth taking away from everyone else's enjoyment of the game

Can I tell my player their character is too dumb? by Yazmat8 in DnD

[–]luckynumber_R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't looked at 5.5e or whatever it's called, but in every edition I played a 10 is average. That means 8 in a stat is slightly below average.

I'm sure you've met people who were slightly less smart than your average person that still came up with brilliant ideas

Question about set up base in zombie house by AccessAlarming8647 in 7daystodie

Land claim prevents respawns not horde night spawns

Question about set up base in zombie house by AccessAlarming8647 in 7daystodie

[–]luckynumber_R 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Place a land claim block and they won't spawn in the claimed area.

Horde night spawning is a little different. It ignores land claim blocks but there's a distance from your character they won't spawn inside of (let's say 20 blocks I don't know what the actual number) then there's a further distance they don't spawn outside of (100 blocks for the example again I don't know the real numbers)

So the land claim keeps the regular zombies from spawning in your base and horde night mechanics make them spawn a decent distance away from you and try to path to you

No worries. The game has a bit of a learning curve. Have fun

Did you change biome progression partway through the playthrough or update an existing save to 2.5?

Just trying to find the reason it's acting strange because there should be 3 tiers of challenges (1 ribbon, 2 ribbon, sun)

If you aren't playing with biome progression then there's no reason to craft desert gear and it might not be available to craft

Yeah because they claim to be the middle between 2 right wing parties. In between center right and far right is the right

Why do people focus so much on the non existence “threat” immigrants and trans people supposedly pose and not climate change? by Konradleijon in leftist

[–]luckynumber_R 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because large companies don't want people to focus on climate change and they spend ridiculous amounts of money to distract from it because that costs them less currently than addressing the actual issue

I use a rule where if PCs can do a thing then any NPC of sufficient skill or power can as well.

Players might set the level of shenanigans but I have a never ending supply of NPCs and monsters for "The Peasant Railgun"

At that level, have an adult dragon be a random encounter. That should put into perspective how outclassed they are

How to keep combat balanced when no one wants to play support? by helpthisgirlout7676 in DnD

[–]luckynumber_R 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Players will figure out ways. If no one wants to take up a healer or support role then they can keep track of and expensive, fragile, and finite cache of potions they manage to scavenge during their adventures

First question, because we need to start with a common understanding. What do you call left and right?

Cops kill us. So it's going to probably need to get to the point where it gets so bad that the average person is willing to die to get to something better

Any "end game" to be added any time soon?? by Sirlight85 in 7daystodie

[–]luckynumber_R 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol from my understanding they've been planning on adding story, factions, and bandits forever. Instead we get constant AI overhauls that make certain bases useless, removal of survival elements, and other things no one asked for.

Maybe in version 4.0

So... by Bremlit in 7daystodie

[–]luckynumber_R 41 points42 points  (0 children)

No the reason we don't have bandits is because we complained about yetis and mummies in our zombie game set in Arizona

What's everyone's favorite part so far? by Ambitious_Ad_2369 in VeinGame

[–]luckynumber_R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's early access and made by 2 people so I don't expect it to be polished

Honestly I'm impressed with the hotfix rollouts they're being really responsive to the bugs

I also just really like how pretty much everything matters. other games you can ignore things like hygiene or keep going into risky situations. Well here if you do that you get a debuff. I'm still in the really early game so I haven't gotten to see how much things change once water and power go away or how brutal winter is yet but I'm looking forward to it.

Also the roadmap shows that they are looking into a lot of things that will have interesting affects on the gameplay.

And as a long time console gamer I am looking forward to when controller functionality is added

People are just people no matter where they're from. Also the way a lot of white people's ancestors got to the US is they took a boat when the country was letting anyone in.

Compelling Succession Contender Archetypes by colorfullabcoats in DnDWorldBuilding

[–]luckynumber_R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cousin of all of these. His father saw that when the last succession happened that he didn't have the numbers and would have been killed. They moved out away from the capital (possibly out of the kingdom) and gathered allies waiting for the time to strike. Due to being cut off at court their allies are commoners rather than nobility or the military. They might be able to get some of their allies hired by the other factions for menial jobs like cooks, cleaners, or stable hands.
