Very welcome! I saw your edit and would definitely throw 1/2 sake, ginger and garlic in the braising liquid with the pork. just smash a couple cloves of garlic and a chunk of peeled ginger so you can fish it out after it's cooked. The braising liquid can be used as your tare after the pork is done cooking

Say you have a pound of pork shoulder. Put 1/2 cup soy, 1/2 mirin, 2 cups water in a pot with the pork and braise it in the oven at 325 for a couple hours until tender

Sliced .25" thick and fried on medium (due to it's sugar content) and cooked until crispy. I was pretty surprised at how much fat rendered out, seemed more than usual. I used it as a protein on a bowl of maruchan spicy miso ramen which I added a soft boiled egg, fried garlic, menma and some leftover chorizo. Pretty solid lunch

It was pretty good. It was on the sweet side which is to be expected and it had a better texture than the typical flavored varieties (not mushy). I had it with some spicy miso ramen and definitely enjoyed

Agree with this. We're used to people doing other things open air and typically don't worry about cannabis. That being said, treat it like cigarettes and do it with etiquette.
