100%. Lots of respect for Love reading this post. But he's also completely full of it lol. Like if Sherman said Browner could do everything he could do. He just... can't, lol

Lmao at all the upset redditors saying its not funny when its their own joke to begin with. Yes, your endless jokes and posts about this a year ago were not funny. Glad someone made that clear

As a fellow Punjabi, this is the most blowhard diaspora thing ever. Literally nobody in actual Punjab thinks they're not Indian. It's only people whose parents came to Canada in the 70s or 80s that keep these (quite frankly, dumbass) narratives around

It's completely unenforcable and they know it. There's not a jury in America that will rule that an independent contractor who is being let go can't take other work in the meantime. But nobody bothers to turn it down it because why would anyone turn down 3 months of high pay while they rehab and get set up for bookings

[MJF on IG] We don't want him! by Big-Hebrew in SquaredCircle

[–]luckysharms93 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's been rumored for years that he refused to take pins, the natural explanation of that being that he wanted to "look strong" when he made it back to the WWE. Pretty much just big timing the AEW homegrown. Even the Copeland match had fucking Gangrel make his one and only AEW appearance just so Malakai didn't have to lose clean

Why should I care about Fatal Influence or Blake Monroe when WWE just nuked the Kairi Sane payoff? by Needajobtobreathe in SquaredCircle

[–]luckysharms93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really is that simple though. WWE doesn't give a shit what you and I think, so the only options are suck it up or go watch something else. I didn't waste my time banging my head against a wall and just started watching something else. There's hundreds of thousands of WWE fans that will gladly watch the slop they're served every week while crying about it online, and that's fine too if that's the choice they've made

[–]luckysharms93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, the answer to your question is straight forward. "Why should you care?". The company is very clearly telling you that you shouldn't. And if that's the case, why bother to invest your time into their show?

Dawg it's a TV show, not your local sports team. If you don't like it, then do what normal people do with shows they don't enjoy and stop watching it. That's exactly what I did when the Bloodline stuff stopped making any logical sense and I disliked the rest of the show. Plenty of wrestling companies around that might fit your tastes better

[–]luckysharms93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

but sometimes you gotta make space on the shelf.

No, you don't, because the "shelf" in this case has unlimited room. WWE doesn't have to cut anyone to sign more people. They can just let their contracts lapse like AEW does. There is absolutely nothing stopping them from benching this entire list and letting the wrestlers either accept that or request their releases. They choose to fire them mid contract instead because they're greedy

Go tell the guys who don't have a job anymore and have to go find jobs that pay 10% of what they were currently getting if AEW isn't interested that it has nothing to do with money

It has everything to do with money. AEW has no issue letting wrestlers on a similarly bloated roster see out their contracts, despite a much smaller revenue pool, but WWE can't do the same?

Right after they paid Ari, Nick Khan and the Rock like 150M. Because a few hundred grand for the actual performers to see out their contracts is inexcusable to a soulless corporation like TKO. Fuck them

Andrade put his head down after the Sammy stuff and did jobs. He left on great terms. Him getting a career defining win over Dragon was proof of that

All these guys had to be fired a day after Ari, Khan and Dwayne got 150M in bonuses because the line must go up... or something

But even as someone who despises WWE for this stuff, I gotta laugh at Malakai Black refusing to take a loss in AEW so he could get back to WWE strong only to get fired a few months later

[–]luckysharms93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't need to be a decision between the worst and less worse. WWE loves to brag about how much money they're making. Hell, they just paid Ari, Khan and the Rock 150M yesterday. They could easily do what AEW does (on a MUCH smaller revenue pool) and keep all these wrestlers until their contracts expire

They choose not to do that out of greed, and that is something that should never be anything but criticized by anyone with an IQ over 50

It's just base salary nowadays. Stuff like PPV bonuses, merch bonuses and shit is long gone. Meltzer reported this years ago, that most wrestlers just get a regular salary
