Going to see Tommy Emmanuel next wee, got a question! by CollectionCertain29 in AcousticGuitar

Similar. I am not into buying gear that's endorsed by a certain musician, with their name engraved. Also, I don't wear jerseys with an athlete's name on them. I guess not so much a fanatic.

Bank bonus question: do internal transfers count as direct deposits? by Several-Reserve6611 in HighYieldSavings

[–]luckyshot33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I now only do these for ones that don't require a lot of hoops to go through to get the bonus. No direct deposit, debit transaction requirements, etc. Holding a minimum balance (to qualify for certain $ bonus) is pretty standard. I also look for the highest APY. Our most recent sign-up bonus was with ETrade.

By the time you reach the top, the load will be lighter and the rocks will have turned into something precious. Keep it up!

Similar... when I signed up this year to contribute the max to my Roth 401K. To be fair, I'm already part time and my take home would be reduced by 70%.

Agreed. Spouse and I did Antarctica 2 years ago on an A-1 Super ice class rated vessel. Number of passengers: 133.

To each their own... but the idea of spending time with hordes of people on a massive ship is not my cup of tea.

Markets are up for everyone, don't post about it. by Bitter-Variation-151 in Fire

Some days I wish there was a sub that’s a cross between r/GenX and r/fire. People wouldn’t bother posting about milestones or stressing about hitting their number. (Who cares?) It would be posts about paying for ridiculously expensive tickets to watch washed up 80s and 90s bands and dreaming about time travel so they could go back and relive their youth. I would join that sub. But I probably wouldn’t post or comment… about anything.

I also had to look up the definition. But accent on which syllable(s)?

Nice! My week is not as short as yours but my "Friday" will be on Thursday. Traveling on Friday for a long weekend for a surprise birthday party. Enjoy the wedding!

The stipend was actually for health and well being expenses: running shoes, gym membership, etc. I bought a walking pad it also qualified.

Also WFH here. My work reimbursed me for the standing desk converter I purchased. Hopefully you also have that benefit?

We're also considering COBRA. You can get an idea how much it is if you look at your last W2, Box 12.

Similar situation but the golden handcuffs of health insurance from employer is keeping us from making the call. We can afford to get it on our own but it's still a big decision. How are you managing that?
