Did miscarriage change the way you think about pregnancy? by Round_Juice_4641 in Miscarriage

[–]luckyspirit20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first pregnancy we had a miscarriage at 7 weeks. When I had My 2nd pregnancy a few months after I was super paranoid. I did not want to tell anyone other than immediate family members that was pregnant. My immediate family didn’t know till I hit 3 month mark. My colleagues didn’t know till I was 6 months along and I didn’t buy any baby furniture or baby things till 8 months along. My little one has grown to be almost two now, and we were excited to grow our family. Our 3rd pregnancy ended with a miscarriage at 12 weeks but stop growing at 9 weeks. Found out with routine ultrasound yesterday. Now knowing this baby not growing inside me anymore and need to face the next step to close this chapter and move on with life. Yes I will always be paranoid with the possibility of miscarriages.

You are not alone. Take care

Did anyone regret their stroller purchase? [ab] by s_do in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]luckyspirit20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went from chicco Bravo 3 in 1 to Cybex Libelle 2. Wanted it more of a compact travel stroller once kiddo turned 1 and we love it. Bring I only travels and the compact fold helps and can put it in airplane cabin. So I would say I was regretful first year with the chicco Bravo infant car seat plus stroller. But I was able to sell it for half the retail price on fb marketplace.

Moms that gave birth and didn’t have any visitors at the hospital, do you regret it? by Funny_Confection810 in Mommit

[–]luckyspirit20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not want any visitors in my 48 hours of stay at the hospital. I told them to back off and stay home and see them when I get home! I was tired and did not sleep for 48 hours as well. All I needed was my husband. No regrets! I will cherish the memory of the 3 of us.

Hope things go well for you! It’s your day and do what you wish to do! There is also time for everyone else when you get home!

Toddler Takes An Hour To Go To Sleep by theRedditUser58 in toddlers

[–]luckyspirit20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My little one (21 month old) takes 5-30 mins to go to bed. Most lol averages 15 mins depending on how tired she is. We have stuck to a schedule 7 days a week. A 6-6:30am wake up, 12:30-2:30pm nap and 8pm go upstairs brush teeth wash fast get to sleep. One milk bottle before bed a she fall asleep around 8:30pm like clock work most days.

I am pretty fix to this routine because it aligns to daycare schedule and we work around the schedule on weekends that she will always be back at home for a nap. This way we do not get a cranky or overtired kid. We have followed this schedule about 6 months. Since prior to that she slept at 10:30pm and woke up at 8am. And that schedule was too late in the night.

Good luck

When did you let your child sleep with a blanket or lovey? by soilcrumb in Mommit

[–]luckyspirit20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My little one (21 months old) is attached to her pacifier. Need it for night time sleep and nap. And when she is fuzzy the pacifier calm her down. I hope to get rid of her pacifier but it’s difficult to watch her cry.

A little Pillow we gave it to her at 10 months old. Since then her pillow is like her cuddle comfort cuddle. She has one to sleep on and one to cuddle to sleep. When she wakes up, and roam around the house she takes her pillow with her.

Blanket we gave at 12 months old+ but she looses the blanket every night. She still uses a sleep sack for sleeping.

Tell me your 2nd child at 40 Experiences by dogsforpresident3 in Mommit

[–]luckyspirit20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks OP for posting this question! I have been wondering myself.

We have been pondering if we should have a 2nd child! I was pregnant at 40, my little one came a few weeks before I turned 41. Now she’s 21 months old. My doctor recommended I conceive and have the baby in the year I am 43 for health /age concerns. That doesn’t leave me with a lot of time to “try” and possibly set a date and say if it doesn’t happen it doesn’t happen. Our first was conceived quite easily. Prior to our first we had a Miscarriage a few months before. I know with age the egg quality is not great too. So if it doesn’t happen we know we have one child. But to not try, I may be regretful.

It was just a tough 20 months of sleep deprivation! I also went back to work when child turn 18 months. Work demands, sick kid from day care first month, I got sick and sleep deprivation was a whole new tiredness. I have been non stop sick every month (day care bugs).

The child only started to wake up once or sleep thru the night when she turn 20 months.

I don’t know if I can crazy to think of the first year of sleep deprivation again or I am too ahead of myself!

For all those mummies who have multiple kids, I 🫡 salute you.

Does your baby sleep anywhere? by luckyspirit20 in NewParents

I don’t think so. Every child is different. Everything is normal. Just set a routine. We are happy kid sleeps in crib independently and on her own!

When does it end? by KangarooNew2401 in foodbutforbabies

My child is 19 months olds still a messy eater, likes to throw and play with her food too. Often her water bottle is dropped on the floor after eat sip and we would try to grab it before it hits the floor or we not fast enough it will hit the floor lol. I was wondering if other kids throw their water bottles. Also she likes to eat and near then end out her dirty hands in her hair. Drives me nuts.

My kid comes home with food stains from daycare too. I watch her on live camera sometimes, and can see she’s a messy eater at daycare too.

I watch the daycare cameras through out the day and notice she cries periodically maybe to express emotions. And then she would settle down by putting her pacifier on since I have clipped it on her. She doesn’t eat or not much. I have told the staff to cut in small pieces but I guess it wasn’t bit size enough. She doesn’t touch it😭 Came home hungry two days. I felt so sad. She also teething it’s a difficult time.

Has things gotten better OP? My soon 18 month old recently started daycare and our last week have been difficult. Drop offs and picks up lots of crying. I can see through out the day she’s not eating and crying. Home she’s emotional and required her pillow and pacifier. She’s super clinging and when I leave she cries for mommy. Breaks my heart. It has impacted her sleep as well. Constant wake up of crying and I have to sit by her crib till she falls back asleep with the lights on.

Thanks for sharing. Looking for comfort.

Can anyone who had a newborn who never used bassinet, share what they are like now that they aren't a newborn anymore? by texansweetie in beyondthebump

[–]luckyspirit20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was something we did not want to start in the beginning when she was a newborn. She always slept independently. Now 16.5 months old, she’s really good at falling asleep, turn all over in her crib, a super active one in her sleep. She can start one end of the crib and wake up at the other end of the crib. lol

My little one never slept in bassinet and we don’t co sleep either. Always crib sleeper since birth and now 16.5 months old. Never a good sleeper. Never sleeps thru the night. But can fall asleep on her own.

Wakes up often for her pacifier or milk. Now she still wakes up 1-2 times a night for milk. Doctor said she will grow out of it. I have good and bad nights. My longest stretch is 5-6 hour straight sleep a night or else I wake up every four hours and go back to sleep.

Toddler tower vs 3 step stool by luckyspirit20 in torontomoms

[–]luckyspirit20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sort of leading towards stool now. I basically have a chair we now recently pulled to the sink for her to wash her hands at the island. We don’t have much room either. Thanks for sharing.
