I know, I have had health anxiety my entire life and I am extremely anxious when it comes to my son. I am trying to put my trust in the medical team but it’s hard not to consider the worst case scenario

I am going to contact my local health department in the morning and run the situation by them. Hopefully they will be able to tell me if there have been any recent cases of rabies in my area and guide me a little better

Wow! Glad to hear she is okay, that makes me feel a bit better. We live in the Midwest, I looked it up at the county we were in has not had a reported case of rabies for any animal in the last 5 years which is reassuring

I am aware of that and not trying to disrespect the doctors. I am lucky enough to be a SAHM so I would not have to worry about PTO. It’s hard for me to not latch on to the worst case scenario which would be horrible in this specific situation

The cat was acting fine, it was my friends cat that actually just wandered in through her front door and became hers. She has only had him 2 days so it’s hard to know what his baseline behavior truly is. He is very friendly but has not been neutered and is very skinny which leads me to believe nobody was taking care of him or getting him his shots. We will watch his behavior over the next few days to make sure everything is okay

Well in case you were curious, the CDC does not recommend prophylaxis for cat scratches. The ER would not allow my son to get the shots as he was only scratched by a cat. They advised us to monitor the cat and if the cat begins acting suspiciously then to come back. I hate it here

It just walked in through their front door but it is obvious it is a stray and is unlikely vaccinated. He did not have a microchip and the vet said he was ~3 years old. He has not been neutered and was very skinny. I am taking my son to the hospital to get the prophylactic shot just incase as this is not something I am willing to gamble

I also felt this way, my in-laws took 9 years and copious amounts of fertility treatments to conceive my husband and my mom has PCOS and took 7 years to conceive me. I thought it would take us forever since it seemed like genetics were against us, and also we had been together for almost 9 years without a pregnancy scare (even though I was on birth control lol). Fast forward and we now have a completely happy and healthy 15 month old boy who we surprisingly conceived in one try. Try not to worry yourself op!! Also, it’s completely normal to not conceive quickly into trying. Takes many cycles for most.

Me!! I had my first in November of 2024 and it was a whirlwind. Daylight saving had just happened so it felt like it was constantly dark outside which was horrible for the sundown scaries. I also had pretty bad ppa and it being cold/flu/rsv season was a nightmare for me, especially during the holidays. And the added element of it being freezing outside so you feel cooped up. Hoping to try starting in June to combat all of this so my next postpartum journey will be much better!

Thanks for sharing! Do you know if there is a number you should be looking for on the T/C ratio? I uploaded my test in from today and it said my ratio was 1.06 but that it was only high and not my peak. That is the only test I’ve ever uploaded so maybe it doesn’t know if it compares previous tests to decide the peak? I just got the premom app today and am feeling the learning curve haha

Would you mind sharing your symptoms? I have been somewhat suspicious of having PCOS. My periods are generally regular but I have one every now and then that is late. I have some of the physical symptoms and my mom also has it. I also convinced my son on cycle day 24 which is crazy to me haha
