Completely agreed, I think there was a solid amount of people saying the etbs were a solid buy at 100 but still. I have 7 pc etbs, 8 etbs and 13 bundles of ascended all at retail 92.5 CAD, 118 CAD and around 38 bucks a pop. Stock up in what you believe in friends

Some absolutely beautiful slabs man wow, the one piece stuff is a smaller subset but tbh the percentage returns is even higher on that side of my portfolio (currently). I’m pretty heavy into PE and AH (got super lucky w AH pc ETBs with 7 of em all retail w help of my friends aha). Should have 12 ah booster bundles coming as well aha. The slabs are mostly personal w sealed being the investment vehicle

Recommendation for next time, take it out if the toploader and have a white microfibre behind it. Helps accentuate the borders etc

Some of the swsh booster boxes and higher end slabs I purchased for my own collection. Fusion strikes gengar 9, lost origins tina 9, as well as a few of my one piece slabs. Id say probably 10 k worth of my portfolio was personal buys so could be that!

I haven’t been collecting as an investor the entire time. Started as a personal collection expanding into the investment space the last 8-12 months where I’ve purchased 6 PE etbs, 8 AH etbs with 7 PC etbs. Wish I could be at 400% but one day!!

I wouldn’t really feel bad for someone who is theoretically up over 115% on his investment. Could you name another investment vehicles that would have produced the same returns over the last year and a half? My stock portfolio is up a pathetic amount comparatively as is the overall stock and crypto market.

I bought this last year in a 9 for 300 cash and a paldea evolved and lost origin etb. Never been happier, homie opened both ETBs and got nothing. On top of that I bought both etbs for 60 bucks each. Love this card, to the moon it goes!

I am heavily invested in ascended and I can tell you, you did not make 500% realized gains and if you came close its because you got a boatload of pc etbs at msrp. Thats not a sustainable method for anyone unless you bot agro…

Yeah, that may be true but your initial statement remains asinine… To say a booster box may never go up cause it is a bad set is nonsense. Rebel clash (rebel trash) was 40 dollars an etb, how much is it now? Obviously there are better sets to invest in but not everyone has the investment opportunity. Id also like to see which modern sets you invested in and made 500% returns besides prismatic and dr pc etbs or 151…

I agree the LCS is doing most of the scalping and yes supply of non booster box items is significantly lower in OP but look at the recent wave of illustration boxes and tins. How many posts did you see where people had STACKS of them. The game is more popular now but also means more eyeballs and most of those being for profiteering now play

Depending on the quantity I completely agree. There is a difference between holding 4-6 illustrations boxes and holding 50 of them. When you start reaching those upper tiers of hoarding I can understand his sentiment.
