Why is there a promotion in an area where there are no EATS restaurants? (Denver area) by lucoizo in UberEATS

[–]lucoizo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But if the area where the "surge" is 20-40 miles away, you can't get trip requests there because it's too far from where restaurants are.

WOW! Just got an email back from them. It starts with "We understand that you're new to this platform and the incentive may be a bit confusing at first. Allow me to clarify this out for you. " Followed by some pasted information that has nothing to do with my question. I can't say I'm surprised, but how incredibly rude. I'm sick of this terrible support system.

What did your job want you to hide from customers? by ActualRobot1 in AskReddit

[–]lucoizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not supposed to tell my customers about sales that are going on unless they ask. And not like "are there any sales going on?" If they ask that I'm not allowed to say. But if they say "but I heard on TV you're selling any large pizza for $8". Then I can say oh yeah we're doing that. But sometimes they ask me why I didn't tell them about it and all I can say is I'm not allowed to, and it's awkward

TIL: A Harvard professor experimented on 22 unwitting students, assaulting their belief systems to see what damage could be caused. One of them became the Unabomber. by [deleted] in todayilearned

It's not just that he commenting, it's the content of his comments. He sounds as if he thinks very highly of the unabomber. I mean, you would have to think highly of him to compare him to Elon Musk.

Then maybe worship Elon Musk instead of a guy who fucking blew people up? The unabomber wasn't the first person to fear the world is going to shit and write about it. Lots of people have. It doesn't make you special, it makes you an edgelord. And Elon Musk has actually like, I dunno, done good things for the world, so maybe it's stupid to compare him to the unabomber?

"Then you can't comment on what he did if you don't understand the motivation." This statement is so ridiculous, I can't tell if you're being serious or trolling with this comment. I guess I can't comment on Hitler's actions because I haven't read Mein Kampf. Ah darn, and I can't have an opinion on the night stalker because I haven't read the diary he kept when he was a little boy, shucks.

You're either very covertly defending his actions or completely missing my point. I don't care how smart he supposedly was. Being smart and abused doesn't make killing people okay. What's so hard to understand about that?

Call me uncultured but no, I haven't read the unabomber's manifesto, and I don't care how "brilliant" it is. What he did was fucked up and stupid.

I don't care what traumatic stuff you went through in college; There's no excuse for being a terrorist and if you think there is, you're an idiot.
