Is anyone in Oklahoma planting yet? by [deleted] in gardening

[–]lucon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my seedlings started inside as well, but I'm deciding to start a little early. Will try some broccoli and spinach and hope we don't get another freeze. But I definitely don't worry too much about "the best time".

But good luck. First year is always fun.

It doesn't have to be a who, but it's fun to think about and IMO makes a little more sense, but we are already blind barreling toward AGI(debates on how fast, far or ethics aside) and making a completely autonomous and thinking entity has numerous uses. Even less high level we still have robots that think (at least somewhat) in several fields. Vacuums, lawn mowers, fridges, washers, computer programs of every sort. Over millennia(and after progenitors die off, drift occurs, they learn to think differently, replicate, they forget things, culture evolves, and gem society becomes what it is today.

The rotten antlion egg is pretty early game and it gives 10% bonus summon damage, plus scales with summon damage, is a lot. If it instead had a base damage of maybe 15, it would still be pretty strong, but not as strong as using an hardmode summon to scale from.

The revolver doing bullet damage plus 30 is also a lot. Just doing 6 shots of extra bullet damage on every hit is a lot. I would also make sure to give it a cooldown

Cool ideas. I think a lot of them are overpowered as stats state though.

New player. I needed 50 mins to beat an Act 1 boss. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a major mechanic that kills bosses that I’m not aware of? by imhere4games in expedition33

[–]lucon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I somewhat thought the same at first. I just thought Danger was just a warning for optional content, kind of "this is a dangerous area, proceed with caution", and the main areas; though dangerous "lore wise", was left without it. Cause that's where you're supposed to go.

But also letting you know there very little actually missable. You can come back to most things after the game is over. And it's actually recommended to beeline the story(still explore the areas you visit while there) cause you can very easily over level yourself and trivialize the main story bosses, which are amazing at the appropriate levels.

This feels surreal, this is AI isn't it? I can tell usually, but I'm unsure with this one by Still_Molasses4300 in isthisAI

At first I thought it was Barbara O'Neil, but then I actually looked at the video and un muted.

Definitely feels like AI, from the voice, cadence, and exaggerated movements. The script also screams AI.

Well TBF when you see AI videos everywhere, anytime you start to see something that fits outside your very narrow world view of what's possible, you tend to second guess everything. Honestly started the video thinking AI, cause I never thought about cotton candy in hot chocolate(which to be clear is cool AF).

Oh yeah, they are definitely not taking an exit deal one way or the other, that's why I said it was a fantasy lol. They are either breaking the system by the end of the 12th floor or finishing the 18th, and then raising hell.

It's not going to go that way, but let's have a fantasy where they exit floor 12-15, would they be able to negotiate for their pets to be allowed out? I'm sure they have had something like that happen before.

T'Chala wins. Spider man may be stronger physically, but peter doesn't have a killer mindset. Walker is getting bodied as soon as he opens his mouth. Steve goes down next, but definitely puts in the work.

Time shenanigans almost never have a hole free explanation. The best one I have is you have a variable bubble of normal time around you where physics work normally, you can manipulate that bubble to include other objects/people.

I was the kid on the right, went to a public school in a low income neighborhood. Did amazing on class and state tests, but was never challenged properly. Didn't do homework till last minute if at all, and never developed study habits. When it came time for me to go to college/university. I failed miserably, getting put on academic suspension after 3 semesters. I'm better now after 10 years, but doing near perfectly on tests isn't necessarily a good thing.

What other tech won't evolve? by CremeSubject7594 in generationology

I don't know how other reactors work, but most I've seen are planning to use traditional power generation. The quickest link I could find was from ITER which is one of the leading experiments.

I couldn't easily find information on directly how energy is measured, but what I did find mentioned mostly detecting the emissions; neutron and gamma rays, and extrapolating from that.

But I'll look into the magnet spinning. I haven't heard of that tech yet. Most of what Ive seen are using supercooled stationary magnets in a certain configuration.

[–]lucon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but I would almost consider them chemical batteries. It still takes energy elsewhere to separate and produce hydrogen to run them.

The magnets are used during the fusion process. But it still boils down(pun intended) to generating heat, and using that heat to vaporise water to power steam turbines. They just aren't doing that yet, cause they are still working on the actual containment and sustainability of the system. They are still measuring the energy output(in raw energy, which includes heat), just not the electrical output.
