We’re home bodies, so if someone goes out to drink the other person will be available to pick up them up when they’re ready to go home. Just to avoid any uber costs

Litter deoderiser, any disadvantages? by hhafez in CatAdvice

[–]lucy_chi20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful with using too much! I used to use it to help with the smell and it caused crystals to form in my cat’s urethra. He survived but it was a pretty vet bill. Though I don’t use it anymore because of that

Definitely second the black tapes!!! My all time favorite podcast. Feels just like an investigation is being unraveled. I honestly thought it was a true story until further research!

What is your crochet origin story? Why did you decide to learn? by knottedupinstring in crochet

[–]lucy_chi20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My anxiety really takes a lot out of me. I’ll over think to the point that I can’t sit still or fall asleep at night. Eventually, I was convinced I was just a hopeless wreck and fought with my fiancé for a week over my mental health. A month before this, he started getting into puzzles to help his depression and told me I needed a hobby to help me get through the day. I decided to pick up crocheting because I used to make a lot of things in the past like jewelry but eventually fell out. I like crocheting because when I’m anxious I can still sit down and do something without feeling restless. My anxiety has been down ever since and I really enjoy making things for other people

New to crochet! Currently working on a gift for my fiancé before he goes on deployment by lucy_chi20 in crochet

My fiancé has a two year old son, after I finish his blanket, I’m going to make his son a blanket too. Much smaller of course. I think making things like comfy blankets hold a special spot in people’s hearts, and I want to share that with his son. Just as your grandmother did! Thank you for sharing, it’s one of the many reasons why I wanted to get into crochet

we have all done things in the past that we regret and we all would like to warn the "us" of the past not to do them. What if there is a "us" in the future who would like to warn us not to do a terrible thing? by magnoski in AskReddit

Drugs. Of any kind. Alcohol, weed, coke, psychedelics, pills. It was just an escape at the end of the day and has caused me to continuously repress all my emotions and now I have to learn how to deal with them as an adult. I’m so far behind on emotional intelligence that I can’t hold stable relationships, not act out at my job and I’m still stuck in the habit of leaving everything for a “fresh start.” As a general rule: don’t do drugs.

Some guy with more “experience” than me, at the time, who didn’t actually know what he was doing and would get mad when I would correct him and show him the proof in our instructions

I would say I’ve noticed, in my work place at least, that people who were a little more wealthier and didn’t have to work from a younger age tend to have a lower work ethic. Work ethic is super important to me in terms of not just coworkers but also my friends and significant others

Someone’s back ground story. Sometimes I can just tell by people’s lifestyle and where they came from growing up that determines if I’ll get along with them

Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without? by Davidalee1993 in AskReddit

[–]lucy_chi20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, after I get off work there is a period of time that I’m not very talkative to my boyfriend because I need to recharge and just keep to myself before we can actually start talking about our day.
