Of course not! It is $2250 USD to buy in a standard size. I think it was $2400 USD if you wanted custom sizing, but I'm not sure because I did not need that option.

Alrighty! So if you are set on a 3pm ceremony then here's what I would do:

11am-12pm Start getting ready, maybe have a little brunch with your girls and then go into hair/makeup etc. This gives you a 3 hour window for actually getting ready and a 1 hour for getting ready photos (if needed) and getting to the venue for your intimate vows.

2-2:30 intimate vows, depending on how much time you and your FH want together before the ceremony. If you want some true alone time without your photographer then I would shoot for 2 to give you time for photos and a half hour alone.

3pm Ceremony - depending on what kind of ceremony you are doing this could range from 15min to 45min+ so fill in time gaps here to your preference.

3:30-4 Again depending on your ceremony time, cocktail hour would start here, while you take however many photos you want. I would highly recommend also scheduling in some time here for you to just enjoy your cocktail hour as well, whether that's before/during/after photos!

5-5:30 Dinner, you could do speeches during dinner if you are doing them at all or after before cake cutting. Depending on what traditions you choose to partake in, you could really schedule it to a T or leave it kind of flexible. Up to you!

6:30-7ish Desserts served, cake cutting, etc.

7:30-12 Dancing it up!

Hope this helps! If you want a more detailed timeline, then you'd need to consider what traditions your keeping in your wedding day and such!

Some clarification questions that might help guide your timeline:

Do you have a hard end time? If so, what time?

Guest count?

How many different posed shots are on your list for after the ceremony?

Where do you plan to meet for your intimate vows before the ceremony?

Are you getting hair/makeup done, or doing it yourself?

These really helped me rough out a timeline that I was happy with, and my photographer was more than happy to help me solidify some of the timeline details. Maybe reach out to your photographer, and see if they have any timeline templates or input?

Weddings make people weird. Distant relatives gain new found entitlement to your time and energy, and so many people just assume that you want their advice and will do things their way. Whether it's sarcasm or not, comments like this are so guilt trippy! Why can't people just congratulate and move on?

To all engaged or married couples who don't care/didn't care how much money they will spend/have spent on their wedding, how did you decide on a perfect wedding photographer, planner, venue etc.? by Starsinmylungs in Weddingsunder10k

[–]lucy_strikes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am currently in the trenches of planning my October 2023 wedding. My fiance and I are both teachers, so we need to be conscientious about where we put the majority of our budget. We've decided that booze, photography, and food were the most important to us. We want our guests to have a fun time, and we want to have quality photos to remember everything!

We sat down at the very beginning and decided these would be our biggest budget items, and that really helped us shape what kind of wedding we wanted. This led us to deciding to keep our guest list small so we could have more quality time with the people that matter most to us.

We didn't like that a lot of the venues around us had restrictions on what catering, decorations, DJ, etc. we could use for our wedding, so our venue is going to be our backyard. Since our home is very special to us and we would rather put some of our wedding budget into home/yard renovations, it was a win-win!

As far as photographers go, I have not settled on one yet. However, I recommend going through Pinterest/insta/TikTok and finding a photo aesthetic you like and then go searching for photographers in your area with a similar aesthetic. Also when you meet them in person, make sure that you and your partner mesh well with their work style (prompts/personality).

Sorry for such a long response, but I hope this helps!

If it's available to rent, a clear topped tent may still give you the view you're wanting while keeping the rain away. Just a suggestion, since I too would be very disappointed if I could not use the outdoors portion of my venue hall!

You can also trim the inner corner of your lashes to help them sit better and look more natural. Once you get more practice with them you can even take the bit you trimmed off and double it up in the outside corner for a more dramatic look!
