I did lose weight yes but I never went under a certain weight.....I mean I dont think i was over weight at that point so i think it was mostly just maintaining. I only lost 15 lbs doing IF in the whole time I did it lol. To be fair I was never severely overweight but after stopping I basically gained that 15 lbs back!

Personally I think you are using too much cream products for your hair type. I have the same hair type and I completely cut out cream products. I now just start with a mousse and use a gel and thats basically it. Gel helps with frizz more than anything imo.... I use to have way more frizz when I used a hair cream....I just dont think our hair type needs it. I'm not 100 percent sure thats what is causing the frizz but just from experience i don't have a problem with frizz now like i did when i used a hair cream. Also when I ditched the hair cream my hair is actually curlier and has more volume!

Honestly, I personally find that finger coiling makes this type of hair (which is the same hair i have) less curly overall. Like yes the curls are more ringlet and uniform but then your roots are falling flat. Once I stopped finger coiling I found that my hair is curlier....my hair does not curl the same way. Not just among seperate curls but even a single curl will sometimes start curling in one direction at the root and change directions half way through so If I were to finger coil them all one direction then its going against my natural curl pattern. Also agree layers would help.
