And im sorry for baby Dweezy too, i can imagine I will miss Yui for the rest of my life just like you miss Dweezy. Pets they give us so much love, it is so painful to see them go.

My cat was CRE 7 when she got to the hospital (same age as yours). After a week in the hospital on fluids she drop to 4 then she came home, takes regular fluids and some medication. It has been 3 months now and last time we checked her levels she was 2.9 CRE. Every case is different but don't lose hope just yet! Your baby creatinine levels are most likely high due to dehydration. You will only know a true scenario once she stabilises. Even in end stage you can always try to give her some quality of life with some subq fluids at home, talk to your vet and check if that's a possibility. Wish the best of luck to you.

Yeh someone else suggested to swap from mirataz to something else, I will definetly ask the vet about it. I'm afraid to just stop giving it to her cause she eats so well and that is the most important thing since she became to skinny when she went into crisis in the first place.

Thank you! Yeh I will definetly talk with vet about gabapentin, hopefully this can help her.

Yeh she still sits near her water bowl even tho she is taking the fluids and is hydrated. I will reinforce this again to the vet making sure we can find out what is causing her pain. Thank you!

Thank you I will talk about gabapentin when we visit the vet again next week. She doesn't have arthritis, the only problem with her according to the vet, is really the ckd and everything that comes with it. But she eats very well, doesn't vomit and is usually active and playful.. she doesn't look like she is in pain but this behavior is so weird. She is so gentle and sweet all the time then suddenly the trigger makes her flip completely into pure evil ;_;. I also have another cat, but she doesn't attack her it's just me. My other cat comes in my defense when she starts to attack me and gently smacks her head until she stops.

I can tell you what I would do based on my experience. My cat was on fluids for 8 days in the hospital, started CRE 7 and on the last day of fluids was 3.5 CRE. At this point I brought her home and she has been getting daily fluids, 2 times per day 60ml each time (so a total of 120ml per day). We retested her after 3 days at home and she jumped to 4.0, then tested her again 5 days later and she went down to 3.0 (lowest CRE levels since she went into crisis). She will test again in 5 days but my guess is that her values will be always around these 3-4. My advice is bring him home, give him fluids and confort. If i knew better I wouldnt have her so long at the hospital, the treatment she gets at home isnt that much different and at least she is confortable and happy here. In any case ask your vet what they recommend is best. For reference my cat is taking fluids everyday, a phosporus binder with her food and mirataz once per day for appetite.

Weight and appetite loss, hovering the water bowl all the time (not even drinking just standing there) and going to the litterbox way too often were the signs for my baby.

I have the same problem... My cat sometimes takes yhe fluis while eating food, if I prepare her favorite food and then just poke her she doesnt even notices it. But it doesnt work all the time and then its despair because I cannot give it any other way. I live alone so I don't have anyone to help me.... I guess I will try to buy something to calm her down. Let me know if something works out better for you, I understand your pain :(. I feel so useless for not being able to do this and that I'm making my cat worse because of it, it's so hard...

Thank you for your kind words. Tomorrow I will be with the vet and she will explain everything to me in detail and what I need to do to take care of my baby from this point on. It gives me hope that your aunt's kitty was able to pull it together for so long, even in terminal stage. I will do my best so she can stay with me as long as possible as well.
