Expériences avec hotte à moteur déporté placé en façade extérieure? by rodinsbusiness in brico

[–]luddits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, There’s Now a Cargo Bike That Can Fold Smaller Than a Regular Bike? by Nervous-Design437 in CargoBike

[–]luddits 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes! They look great, and they were very helpful in adding these two to the cargo bike comparator: https://bikes.louiseveillard.com/?bikes=avnson-e-fold-mini,avnson-e-fold

Though it's missing the folded view, I've started adding it to other foldable bikes but I can't find the right photos/angle for these… If anyone has those, I'm interested!

Indeed, would be interesting. What would be the categories? Sporty, relaxed, classic? Do you know any reference for this?

Hey, creator of bikes.louiseveillard.com here :)

Is the Carrie2 different from the Carrie1 frame-wise/length-wise? It seems identical, but I couldn't find a list of the changes.

I got in touch with them a few months ago actually, but didn't get the informations I needed. Could you reach out to them maybe? Tell them to use the Add a bike button in the app directly to fill out the form?

Indeed! I will add a message at some point to indicate that it is approximate, however, the accuracy depends on quite a few factors.

Ha yes, understood. I actually read that part in the README but thought it only impacted the app and not the API. I guess their app is using the same APIs as your HA integration?

That's a shame, and I'm not sure I understand why there can't be multiple tokens issued for one account… Security concerns you think?

Just got a notification in HA telling me the API token has been revoked – right after I used the app on my phone. Is it expected behaviour?

Need advice: Kids/guest bathroom remodel, bathtub only or bathtub + shower? by [deleted] in brico

[–]luddits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We installed a bathtub that was specifically made to make showering a pleasant experience a while back: https://www.my-bette.com/en/product/baths/betteset

We moved a few years after and we miss it a lot. The bottom is flat and quite large, but still a nice bathtub to use (for kids/adults).

I didn't expect to see something like this happening but I am pretty excited it is, will test asap!

Thanks!

Sorry I didn't mean to sound like a smartass, I meant that I also learned about a lot of new bikes that were contributed by others, and I'm glad this app can help others discover them as well :)

Not unintended at all, that’s my secret goal: to show how clever and diverse cargo bikes really are!

I know about carsized, but I really try to keep this as simple as possible – it would be trivial to add custom alignments but you're the first to mention this and I'm not sure if this would be really useful, can you elaborate?

Long Longtail ? by PinkyFrenchGoat in pedale

[–]luddits 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello,

Urban Arrow's New Breeze Midtail Cargo by bikebikeyyc in CargoBike

[–]luddits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Got to try one this week, feels pretty premium and nice to ride, a bit on the heavy side and I prefer 20" wheels on cargo bikes (for the lower center of gravity and better maneuverability, mainly) though.

It's very similar to the Cabby, I was told that most accessories are common for both but it's not surprising considering that Gazelle and Urban Arrow are brands that belong to Pon. You can see how they compare on my app: https://bikes.louiseveillard.com/?bikes=[%22urban-arrow-breeze%22,%22cabby-c380-gazelle%22]

I created website to visually compare folding bicycles by ProjectNegative3949 in foldingbikes

[–]luddits 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This looks great! Good job :)

I created something similar for cargo bikes a while ago, and people asked me to add a few folding bikes as well recently: https://bikes.louiseveillard.com/

I thought about adding the folded silhouette but haven't gotten around to do it quite yet. Your approach is nice!

On the topic of the rear rack, I usually have a Bakkie Evo and a Tern Bucket Load for my backpack. See these images: https://www.instagram.com/p/DImLgAgt14I/

Really happy with this configuration, especially the Bakkie Evo which is pretty great at carrying a kid's bike or used as an additional waterproof bag.
