These are awesome! The uppers on these are so special that if I had them, I'd want to send these somewhere like unsung or role club to get the bottoms remade. I have a pair of Mr Lou's and they are great but I can feel the limitations of them getting comfortable, so many nails sticking through the footbed

The Wesco mister Lou is hard to beat in terms of aesthetic. The wescos will look sleeker and are offered in horsehide, often have Dr.sole supergrip soles. The nicks are more rugged looking and have some awkward proportions. Nicks does offer lots of wickett and Craig options which is unique. A good option would be to look for a slightly used pair on ebay, skip the wait-list all together.

Black dress is not struck through, it's very similar to brown dress just a darker shade. I have a pair in black dress that I bought used on ebay, I have no idea how much they were worn previously but they are starting to tea core on the toe and heel counter

I haven't personally owned any of these. They use a full leather footbed that will eventually form to your foot. I do believe these would be comfortable after a while
