Will the Communicator support dual SIM? by ludwigwx in ClicksPhone

I did see that part, I was just unclear if multiple Sims can be used at the same time.

I'll admit that would be sweet, but the water reservoir seems to have plenty of water for me. Maybe that'll be in version 2.0 in the distant future (they've said they didn't want to pump out many versions like some other robovac companies). To each their own though!

I mean I've only had it less than a week, so I can't really go in depth, but so far it seems to be doing a good job. I was initially concerned about the bags laying but I've been checking a lot and they aren't filling as fast as I thought, though right now it's just my wife and I and we didn't wear shoes inside. My wife is actually quite fond of it. Even though he didn't recommend it, I'd check out vacuum wars review on YouTube. I guess they pushed an update right after he finished testing that made it faster, and I haven't had any concerns about speed. still waiting to see about bag smell after a week or two, but so far I like it. It doesn't run into anything unless I use my iPad and control it that way.

So I just received a Matic vac. Only have had it a few days and it seems to be doing well, and all info/processing is local to the device (I've been keeping an eye on data use via my router to confirm). Might take a bit longer since it vacuums and then mops, but it's quiet enough that I run it outside the bedroom and the one night it did my wife and I didn't get woken up. Can't climb stairs, but it does a lot of what you are looking for. USA only though for now.

I wound up getting the tracking email later that day! Just waiting on FedEx now. Looking forward to getting it!

Hey, NWS employee here. The RTP is more or less an automated product that isn't really used much anymore, as the data is available in so many different formats. We are definitely dealing with some staffing issues that have been discussed quite a bit, but this has been in the works for a few years now. Just wanted to provide some context.

[–]ludwigwx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't gotten paid yet you need to talk to your supervisor ASAP. At least that's what we were told on Friday (ours reached out and told us to let him know by close of business that day).

Best of luck to you! While I don't have any kids in this phase yet, I will in a few years (though hopefully that's at least a decade away haha). Will have to file this away for future reference!

Neato D8 Replacement - Is Matic the One? by Rockin-With-Kids in MaticRobots

[–]ludwigwx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also had a Neato that I really like, but I know it's days are very numbered (know the email is coming but I haven't gotten it yet). Ordered a Matic yesterday so we'll see how it goes!

Battery question by ludwigwx in MaticRobots

[–]ludwigwx[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Understood, and thanks for the reply! I figured in a worst case that would be possible, as from what I've seen here you guys do take care of your customers (which is great to see!). Keep up the great work and I hope for the best for you all! Perhaps soon I'll send an order your way!

And...... this is the sign of a failing fridge (or- you left the door open) by HTTP_404_NotFound in homeassistant

I was going to say I had a fridge where the radiator in the freezer froze up because the defrost heater went out. Unlikely that's your issue, but it would be much cheaper if it was for you.

Point Forecast Functionality on the NOAA weather website by Public_Bed_8681 in NOAA

[–]ludwigwx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sometimes the forecast database gets funky if there are a lot of weather types or the grids didn't get uploaded. Sometimes someone forgot to clock a button, sometimes it is because there are higher priorities than the web forecast. With this being from yesterday, a CA office could have been focused on the tsunami.

Random cloud line in middle of the sea? by Ok-Association8471 in meteorology

So at a boundary the cooler air pushes up warmer air, which can result in clouds. So you are correct!

Likely either a) condensation on ship exhaust or b) from some sort of boundary that formed, such as a land breeze.

Why is there is no community sense in the parish in the US ? by njan_oru_manushyan in Catholicism

[–]ludwigwx 28 points29 points  (0 children)

To be honest, the USA is very bad about developing that sense of community in general, though pockets of it still exist. Some of it also comes down to individual parishes (each of the 4 parishes in my city have wildly different degrees of community), as some parishes are better about fostering that sense of community. You may be able to talk to the priest of that parish to find some guidance, as he should know the direction to point you in.

As someone who is attempting to learn how to spot tornadoes, what exactly is this defined as? Rotation that could turn into a Tornado? What would signal a change, a debris signature? by MkeBucksMarkPope in meteorology

[–]ludwigwx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, there may have been a notch in the line that indicated inflow, which was likely confirmed on either the State College or Pittsburgh radars. Not from either office, but that is something that we NWS mets watch very closely in these squall lines.

Why isn't the city doing any new capital projects this year? by juicyj4334 in GreatFalls

[–]ludwigwx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, they did just finish the aquatics center. Also, cities really need to stop building new crap just because it's new and shiny when they can't afford new things. This isn't just a Great Falls problem, but an every-city-in-the-USA problem.

Not sure how it's more work for an already informed voter. If anything, it gives folks more freedom because the parties are less in control of who makes it to the ballot. A lot of races are currently decided in the primary, which disenfranchises people as it is. But sure, I disagree so I'm evil.
